Chapter 2
And so the next day I was so giddy that I actually took Caleigh to our favorite coffee shop and said that it was my treat. Boy, you can't blame me! I finally have a condo unit!
I. Finally. Have. A. Condo. Unit! Oh my God! Can you believe it?!
"Hera bitch. Are you still with me?" I was pulled out of my reverie when she snapped her fingers at me.
"Right. Yea, of course." I unconsciously said that made her eyes go out of their sockets.
"WHAT?!" I winced. "Can you just tone down your voice. I'm just right here! Like, in front of you!" I snapped, and the freaking lunatic inhaled and exhaled as if calming herself. I rolled my eyes. Now what?
"You were not listening." she said. It was not a question. It was a statement. I looked at her intently and said, "I was."
"Oh, really? So that's why you agreed that Jayson Kier Rivera aka Jase looks so hot that his simple gaze can make pant— I mean hearts, drop?" My eyes widened.
"What? You're bluffing." I said, trying to convince myself. She smirked, and I wanted to slap this bitch in front of me.
"I'm afraid not." She said. I glared at her. "Shut up." I hissed.
She laughed. "What? Isn't it true? Jase is so hot that sometimes, I forget that it's Jas who I like." she giggled, and for some reason, I just wanted to strangle her until she is out of breath, and on the brink of death. Ugh.
"Alright, I'll stop now. I still love my life, you know," she said when she noticed that my eyes blazed even more.
The next thing we knew was we were already laughing at something. I could not remember almost everything but I do know how my world became sluggish the moment our eyes met, the bustling coffee shop seem to have any customer aside from us, and how his cold stare remained on me, as my breathing hitched.
I could not exactly understand. No. I did not really understand why that simple incident made my stupid heart to beat faster than normal.
If only Caleigh did not pinch me, we would have kept on staring at each other like there's no tomorrow.
I looked at her and she was already rising her eyebrows at me, wiggling them as if insinuating something.
"What now?!" I snapped, and I did not like the way my voice turned out. I did not like the way irritation crept on me that it filled my veins each second that passed by. I did not like it.
Caleigh giggled. "Kuya CJ!" She called the guy without the piercings and I rolled my eyes. Here we go again. Another banter, for sure.
"Hey, Leigh. You're here." bati ni Mr. Good guy. Alright, I want to give him that nickname kasi siya lang ang walang hikaw sa kanila. He must be the pinakamatino. Duh.
"Hi, kuya. Yes, I'm with my best friend, Hera," she said, and I rolled my eyes. Andrei, if I am not mistaken, the one with a bunny smile, laughed again.
I scoffed. He sure has some loose screws.
"Hi, Hera." walang gatol niyang sabi. He extended his hand and smiled at me.
I was about to shake his hand when another "epal" hand slapped it away, leaving my hand in the air.
And when I say epal, I am actually talking about Jase. Darn.
My blood boiled. I'm sure I turned scarlet because of what happened.
"Kuya, what the hell?" tanong ni Andrei kay Jase na ipinagkibit balikat lang ng huli.
