Chapter 1
I flipped my oh-so-straight hair before going out of my room. I am currently wearing a blue midriff shirt, and a denim high-waist short shorts matched with my favorite rubber shoes. Yeah, well I am going to the gym with my best friend, Caleigh. I have to burn some calories! I am getting fat, gosh!
"Where are you going, Margaux?" I stopped on my tracks as I heard my father.
"I'm going to Mars. I'm having a date with an alien." I answered, poker-faced. He chuckled. Gosh, mukha ba akong nagjojoke?
"Palabiro ka talaga, anak. Saan nga?" Nakangiti niyang tanong. I sighed. Damn it, but I am a daddy's girl!
Lumapit ako at niyakap siya.
"I'm going to the gym, 'ddy. I need to burn some fats!" I whined. He looked at me, brows furrowed.
"Magwowork out ka? Eh halos dumikit na nga 'yang balat mo sa buto mo. Ang payat mo na anak, tapos magwowork out ka pa? Gusto mo bang magmukhang kalansay?" Dire diretso nitong sabi. I chuckled.
"Bye, daddy! Love you!" Tumatawang sabi ko. Nilingon ko siya ulit at nakitang naiiling na lang ito pero natawa na rin.
I blew him a kiss before getting in my car. I even saw him mouthed 'ingat' and I smiled.
It's been me and my dad ever since my good-for-nothing-but-bearing-me-for-nine-months mother left us with her kabit.
That woman! Ang lakas ng loob niyang gawin yon when dad did nothing but love her!! I saw everything! I saw how my dad beg her to stay but all she did was left us! She even had the audacity to look at me that time!
But heck, I never begged her. I never did. I am Hera Margaux Montalvo, the princess of Robert James Montalvo! And I bow down to no one but my dad!
So anyway, before I get my mood sour, I parked at the parking lot and dialled my best friend's number. She answered on the third ring.
"What the hell, Caleigh? Where are you? You didn't tell me this gym is like an enormous empire!" Naiirita ko nang sabi. I rolled my eyes at those girls who are looking at me from head to toe. Whatever. I have the face and the body, I know.
I heard her laugh on the other line
"Chill, Hera. You temperamental bitch. Just go on the 3rd floor, Left side, okay? Bye." I rolled my eyes. She fcking knows I hate directions! Heck, but I have a weak sense of directions!
Wala akong nagawa so I just did what I was told. I waited for the elevator to open and when it did, pumasok na 'ko roon.
There were seven boys inside, and a girl. So bale dalawa na kaming babae ngayon. The guys seem to be having fun. They seem to be familiar. I think I saw them before, I just can't remember when and where.
"No one should speak." Narinig kong sabi nung isa. The one with the chinky eyes, and no piercings. Siya lang ang walang piercing sa kanila e.
"Speak? 'Di ba yun yung pang kuha ng yelo? Ice speak?" Tanong nung isa, well matangkad and Gwapo rin. Actually, lahat sila may itsura.
I rolled my eyes. Ang korny ng joke niya.
Kinurot siya nung babae sa tagiliran kaya napa 'aw' siya.
"Ice pick yon. Huwag kang korny kuya." Poker face na sabi nong isa. oh, he got chinky eyes, too. But his eyes are somewhat mysterious. Manipis ang labi at matangos ang ilong tapos maliit ang mukha. He's a perfect definition of a "poging cute."
2nd floor.
"Alam mo ikaw, pambasag trip ka talaga, ano?" tila nanghihinakit na sabi nito.
"Tss. Ang korny mo lang, kuya." Poker face pa rin nitong sabi.
