*2 months later*

It's been 2 months since josh has texted me. Not gonna lie, it's been hard to not text him. I know he won't reply, but I try anyway and it's irritating to me. He literally just doesn't answer anymore. I don't get how someone can be so confusing. I'm probably just annoying to him.

"Maddy come on don't be late!" Leslie, one of my dance friends, yell. It was our last dance rehearsal before our last competition. We were doing so good and I can't believe we got into championships.

As soon as class started, we got right into our routine. Josh was pushing us harder than ever, barely getting water breaks. They were mostly gush and goes, which is when we drink a few gulps then get right back into it. It was exhausting and I was ready to just go home.

During practice, though, all I could think about was josh not texting me. Not only has he not been texting me, but he's been avoiding me more. I could not help but feel like he knew that I liked him, which is what making him not talk to me. I do not know at all what his deal is, but it's bugging me more than anything.

Rehearsal was finally over, and at the end of every last rehearsal, we have this tradition where the parents bring us in and out after practice, and that's what they did. Underclass men get fries, while the seniors got their own burger. I, of course, was the first one in line to get mine. After I got it, I went to the table where Leslie was sitting at.

"Maddy, josh is staring at you! Don't look, though it'll make it obvious!" I hear Leslie whisper. Leslie is the only person on the team that knows about josh. I only told her because I trust her and I know she won't say anything. Plus she hates josh.

I turn around real quick and notice that he is staring.

"Oh my gosh maddy that was so obvious!" She said in a loud whisper.

"Oh gosh sorry that was obvious. Ugh why can't he just come up and talk to me?"

Leslie laughed as we sat down to eat our burger.

"What's so funny?"

"Maddy if you want to talk to him, just go up there yourself. You've always talked to him yourself before. You weren't afraid before. What's stopping you now?" Leslie asks.

Leslie was right. I never used to be afraid to go up to him and talk to him by myself until now. Now that he's basically completely ignoring me, I just don't talk to him at all. I feel like it's because I feel like he knows I like him. I mean I know I made it obvious, but I liked to keep it to where I didn't really pay attention to if he knew or not. I just don't know what to do. I just wish I could get over him already.

"Leslie, I know, but things are complicated now."

She shakes her head and just continues eating. I could tell she didn't want to get into my love crisis right now.

A few minutes after me and Leslie ate, the other dance instructor, Liam who mainly just helps out, came to our table. It was so random and unexpected. He's normally just quiet unless he's telling people what they're doing wrong, or showing a move that he came up with for josh to let us try.

"Hey guys, hows it going?" He asked.

Leslie and I both looked at each other confusingly.

"Uh it's good." Leslie replied.

"That's good. How about you?" He turns and looks at me. He had the biggest smile on his face when he was looking at me. Almost as if he was in awe.

"It's good." I reply.

"Alright that's good. Well I better get going. Nice talking to you." Liam says as he gets up and leaves.

"That was so weird and awkward." Leslie says while laughing.

"Haha I know! It was the shortest conversation I ever had. It's almost like he was nervous to come talk to us or something."

"Maddy since josh isn't talking to you, you should just get at Liam." Leslie says jokingly. I laugh.

"But like in all seriousness, he probably thought you were cute. I mean he was smiling at you like the whole time." Then it hit me. An idea that will probably make me the worst person ever.

"Oh my gosh what if I use him to make josh jealous!" I say. I mean I know it's a mean thought, but anything to get a guy to notice you right?

"Maddy seriously that's rude and not cool." Leslie states.

"Leslie, I know but I have no other choice."

"Why can't you just tell josh how you feel like a normal person would do?"

"Leslie, you and I both know I'm not a normal person." Leslie laughs and just nods her head.

It's true though. I would literally do anything to talk to josh before, and now I just have to do anything to get josh to talk to me. I've done my part and now he has to do his. I really don't feel like it's right to use Liam, but I have to do something, and that's all I can think of.
