Goodbye
A young boy walks the halls
A shadow of his once existence
A fragment of his very being
Someone forgotten
His footsteps echo throughout the corridor
Dead footsteps; empty in a way.
The black marble gleams in the pale moonlight
A mere memory
Encased in a glass tomb; a fragile girl
Her skin as light as snow, her hair as dark as coal
She has died before her time
An empty shell
He kneels before the once beautiful maiden
He knows no love will bring her back
He cries one solitary tear in the darkness
Alone
Her gentle eyelids flutter open for just a moment
She sees his sparkling tear in the moonlight
She feels his pain; but she is
No more
The boy rises to his feet and turns to leave
Behind him the sparkling coffin that enshrouds
His only sweet love
Farewell
He cries more tears in the starry night
But he knows in his heart that she is gone
He still remembers her death
Memory
All the blood spilled from her heart
As the tears slid down her face
She said her farewell
Death
There is no life in her empty eyes
She is gone forever into the darkening mist
Goodbye my sweet love
Goodbye
