Warning- this chapter is rushed and was badly written in less than two hours but I had to keep my promise about Saturday uploads so here it is.
~Malachi~
I roll over, trying to shake the feeling of dread off of me.
The time looks to be just past midnight, judging from a quick glance outside the window. It's pitch black outside, but I can still see minimalistic details. All I see are some trees, though.
We got an outer hut, so our view out the window consists of the outside edge of this place, instead of just a view of the other huts, which is the view the other two huts have.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, my eyes randomly focus on a dark lump, very far away. At first, I didn't realize what it was, but after a few seconds of staring at it like an idiot, I realized it was probably Trojan.
That thought left my mind in the very beginning because we hadn't been able to see his body through the thick fog earlier today. But I assumed that was and stared at it. Don't know what I expected, for it to come to life?
Naw, we know he's dea-
My thoughts stopped short. I saw a shadow sweep across the horizon. It, what was it?, stopped, looked around, and walked slowly. Then it glanced around-
Was it, looking for something?
Someone?
An answer to my question presented itself, as the body sped over to where the object was.
I started to doubt myself. It probably wasn't Trojan. My vision long distance wasn't great, and whoever brought me here didn't bring my glasses. It looked more like a bush no-
The shadow-like thing bent over and speeded away. Bush or body, the thing miraculously disappears.
Still, in shock from this entire thing, I climbed back into bed from the window, and rolled over, closing my eyes, thinking about other things, attempting to fall asleep.
Didn't work.
I couldn't get what I just saw out of my mind.
Then, I finally went to sleep. Everything around me faded and I heard no other words or started to think any new thoughts.

Geez.
I'm so tired. Don't think I got a single hour of sleep last night. Every time I tried to doze off, I kept thinking about last night and what I saw out the window. Ugh. It was honestly probably nothing, but for some reason, my idiotic brain thinks it was.
"Ey! Brother! Were you up at night last night?" My doofus brother, Alexx, groans from his bedside.
"Um, I got a little restless, and woke up a bit, sorry did I wake you up?" I say, pretending to care, but over exaggerating, the sarcasm dripping in my voice. I knew that was a mistake the minute the words left my mouth. No one makes a fool out of Alexx without getting a consequence.
He growled angrily and walked over to me. Then Alexx slaps me in the face, hard, and grumbles away. "God, you're annoying. Why do I hang out with you? Oh right, to 'be nice' and because 'you're my little brother' ugh, that crap our parents used to say about you and I. I wish we weren't related."
Honestly, bro, me too. Me too.
Angry and confused about anything and everything, I decided to take a breather.
Yeah I know, a moody kid with anger need alone time? Well, you need to shut up.
I walk over to the rock I was reading at earlier, and stroud it's smooth surface. Then I sit down, looking at the sun. In turn, I go from sitting to laying down. Staring up at the sky and clouds, which look so ordinary, but I have a feeling are fake.
Closing my eyes, and letting my surroundings' sounds and scents take over me. I'm about to doze off for who knows how long when I hear footsteps come towards me.
"You can come-" I stop when I realize they've already taken a seat next to me. If I finished speaking, I would have said that they can come and sit and that I don't care, but that seemed to not matter. I just realized that I don't know who I'm even talking to, so I open my eyes and turn to look at them.
I sit up and turn, expecting to see Pepper, or the other girl I saw or maybe Alexx, but nope, it was someone new. They- I mean she - is very different from what I expected. It's not the redhead I spoke to yesterday, but instead a new girl.
She looked Filipino but also something else, something I couldn't place. This girl was probably a mix of a bunch of cultures. Anyways, her hair was beautifully curly and super long, to her lower back.
"S-sorry for over-analyzing you. I'd never seen you here before. But I guess I've been in my hut for most of the time." I say awkwardly laughing it off like I always do.
She just curtly nodded and then starts to smile. Her smile is heartwarming and pretty.
"I'm Malachi, nice to meet you," I say, hoping for a name but not expecting to get one. It's fine, she's probably shy and doesn't like to talk much. I used to be self-conscious of my voice and would never speak, so maybe this isn't any different.
My muscles untended and I relaxed and began to lay back down. I then looked up and stared at the clouds that drifted by.
It was kind of great, having a presence there without having to awkwardly make conversation. Normally one feels pressured to talk, but if she didn't answer, I wouldn't bother to do so anyway.
Our peaceful silence was interiors with heavy footsteps. A larger boy, with similar features to her, ran up to us and looked at me with a demonic glare.
"I'm Zeus. What are you doing here alone with my sister?" He asks, putting a special emphasis on the word 'alone' specifically.
"Woah, calm down. I was laying here, and she came over. We just sat here and stared at clouds. And she's your sister? What's her nam-"
I was cut off with a punch to the face from this Zeus guy. The girl was shocked and started to lightly punch Zeus as if to defend me, but it was fine. Alexx beats me up all the time, and the only solution is to accept defeat and walk away. So that's what I did.
"Sorry for interrupting you guys. I'll see you around, or maybe not," I say and make eye contact with the girl. I still don't know her name.
The punch made a direct cut on my lower chin, and from my injury experience, it's going to scar, but that's fine. I've had worse.
Suddenly, Alexx comes running in. He throws a larger duffel bag on the empty bed and starts stuffing clothes into the bag.
He makes eye contact directly in my eyes and says,
"Malachi, we're leaving this place."
