Chapter 4:
I sat in the front of the car biting my nails and bitterly staring out the window. I could not get the thought of betraying my friends out of my head. It was on replay in my mind. I just wanted to cover my eyes and hide until everything was sorted. No, it was going to be fine! I knew it, It would be simple, I said to myself but I knew it was complicated.
On the 15 minute drive, my mum kept widly smiling at me like she was hiding something. I kept asking her what but she didn't say. Ughh I hate people keeping secrets. It was really bugging me. As we pulled up I spotted Gary who was standing at the entrance with his kids. I waved, faking a smile, even though I liked him. We got out the car and stood as we introduced each other to each other. The twins Ellen and Grace were wearing cute dresses and they smiled sweetly. They were identical and both had fair, curly hair with bright blue eyes. They were really cute. James, the boy stood and I immediately wondered if he was just like Nathan. He had brown eyes with dark curly hair and tiny cute freckles. He was acting all cool, but I thought perhaps he was just an idiot, much like my brother, deep down! Katie, had fair curly hair like the twins and bright beautiful blue eyes but she had an awful sour expression planted on her face. I grinned and she gave a sickening smile. The first impressions of her weren't all too good.
I laughed and smiled 'Hey, I'm Lana, your Katie right?' 'Yeah, nice uh hair.' She replied sourly looking at me from bottom to top with a disgusted look on her face. I looked her up and down. She was wearing red skinny jeans and a white blouse. 'Gee, thanks - I love your blouse!' I answered a little sarcastically. 'So what do you like doing in your spare time?' She tilted her head and a thin smile grew on her lips. 'Well, I, uhh love movies, hang out with my friends, love one direction..and I...' 'AAH SAME!' She interrupted with sarcasm and an open mouth. I grimaced. 'I can tell we are going to be great friends! Or better, sisters!' She said, cheesily and flounced off. I raised an eyebrow as she turned her back and swiftly turned to the little twins. 'Hey guys, wait, you must be Ellen and Grace. But which ones which?' I giggled pulling a face and twitching my hands around. They simply laughed and carried on smiling.

'Is everything okay with your food?!' The over friendly waitor exclaimed. I nodded with my mouth full of scrumptious succulent chicken breast. It was heaven! I love Nandos, I love food! That just made me think of Nialler. We were sitting at a long table. Gary was at the end, then my mum, then Ellen, then Grace, then Annabel. Katie was at the opposite end, then me, then James and then Nathan, next to Gary. 'Kids, listen, I've got amazing news!' Gary exclaimed over the rabble of waitors, cutlery smashing and people jabbering away. I thought I knew what was coming and sat up higher in my seat, my eyes wide. 'As your all here, I'm going to tell you that I got the job!' He squealed. I jumped in the air and punched it with my fist. 'OH YEAH!' I screamed a little too loudly so some people turned around to stare at me. I sat back down, jiggling up and down. 'Well done Gary!' I chuckled at what a fool I had made myself out to be. Katie, who apparently loved one direction, sat and simply clapped, looking like an idiot. She overall was not seeming to make me at all keen on liking her. 'So who's your favourite in 1D?' I asked. '1D? Oh yeah, right sorry it's uhmm La..Harry!' She said pronouncing it weirdly. I nodded and was about to answer when my phone bleeped and I quickly slung it out of my pocket.

I felt bad, I felt hurt, I wanted to cry. Nobody ever called me Alana. Not even my teachers, not even family! I knew Zoe was really angry. She was probably hurt aswell. But I couldn't explain! Not just yet, I did not have the courage. My face had immediately dropped into a puppy dog frown and I sighed deeply. 'Wassup?' Katie looked at me clashing her fork back down onto the plate. 'Oh, don't worry, nothing' I lied tossing my phone back away. I wasn't quick enough. She grabbed my phone. 'HEY, give it back!' She opened up my notes and read aloud. 'I loved James so much but it seemed my love was never returned. My life is messed up.' She laughed and faked sobbed. James looked at me weirdly. 'No, not you!' I breathed heavily trying to grab the phone. 'Oh, you've got a text! From Zoe, who I love with all my heart, kiss hugs kiss hhmm.' She exclaimed. She was so strange. I barely knew her, yet she was so overconfident. You don't snatch someones phone if youv'e known them for half an hour! 'It says, MESSED IT UP NOW ALANA IT'S ALWAYS YOU ISN'T IT? It's always you Alana, what did you do this time!' She said sympathetically before James grabbed the phone from his sister and handed it back to me, frowning. 'She can be an ass.' He said feeling sorry for me. I smiled at him and thanked him. Katie slumped back in her chair. 'Your gay, I was having fun!' She said looking down her nose at the pair of us. We laughed, 'Sorry!' I replied.
