Deep in a cave in the Adila mountains there was nothing but complete darkness all around. The little bit of light that was streaming in, came from the millions of crystals angled from the surface far above to this dismal place beneath earth. However, no matter how large the amounts of light they created one could still barely see anything. No one would notice the massive crystalline structure in the center of the cavernous space. No one would see the ancient sentient being in the center of the crystal either. She was trapped and felt she would remain that way for eternity. Still, the creature could hear the sounds of the world above her. She could hear the people as they talked and ran about their daily lives. None of them could hear her, and oh how she wished they could! She just wanted to talk to one of them. Wanted, no, she needed someone to hear her, maybe then she could at last be freed from the darkness. She pushed with all she had against strengthening barriers around and gave out a loud cry hoping to catch the attention of someone.
Little did she know she had hit the jackpot and gotten three very different individuals. Each, from the four different corners of the land who would have to travel four very different paths to find her.
~Hey!~
Though she only knew she had gotten a hold of one, she diddn’t know if he would be the one she needed. He could not even answer her call with his own mind! She had to pick and dig through his thoughts, not that they were hard to dig through mind you. He was a great oaf and she readily let him know this. However, when another voice chimed in and she heard it a pleased feeling resonated through her.
"Just where the hell and I supposed to find it?" She grinned in her mind of this demi-human. A thief may be just what she was looking for.
