A Love Between Chefs

The Cooking Contest

    An event is coming up, several schools are competing in a cooking contest and two of the schools happen to be Rins, and Natsukis.

    Rin decided he'd cook a breakfast Meal. Simple, but he knew not many people would go for something like breakfast. He was going to make an Omelette. He makes Omelettes like no one's business, everyone at his school loves his cooking and he's wanting to try something a bit New with his Omelette and he can't wait to try it out at the contest.

    Natsuki had decides on making her traditional kitty cupcakes, but she plans on adding a little something, some filling. It will be similar to a lava cake when bitten into. All of her friends always loved her cupcakes so she was pretty confident that she'd blow away the competition at this cooking contest!

The day of the contest arrives

     Rin had finished setting up the plates
For the judges, the placing of it made it look like a five star meal. Natsuki had just finished putting the chocolate kitty ears on the cupcakes she made and setting them on the plates. The judges made their way, tasting the best of what each schools stand had to offer. For some reason, meatloaf was A popular choice, and it all tasted pretty mediocre. The Judges made it to Rins stand and they each took a bite. Their eyes lite up in amazement. The way all the flavors of the different spices mixed was amazing! They were certain they had found their winner then they walked over to Natsukis stand. One of the judges mumbled
"Cute.." as he picked up one of the cupcakes. The others seemed to nod im agreement.

    Natsuki was nervous, she had her friend Sayori by her to help keep her calm
"Natsuki, relax. I'm sure they'll love them!" Natsuki put her hands on her hips.
"t-they better!" she looked over at Rins stand and thought to herself 'but that boy... They seemed to love whatever it was he made.. He better not come between me and that first place ribbon!' she gritted her teeth. She's never been able to actually make someone proud before, and this is her chance. Her chance for her father to be proud of her for once.

    When the judges took a bite of Natsukis cupcakes they were overwhelmed with the fluffiness of the cupcake itself as well as the smoothness of the liquid chocolate inside. They didn't expect it to be this great! The judges talked animist themselves for a few minutes before the head Judge began to speak
"this has never happened before but.. It is a tie between the Omelette and the cupcakes!" he turned to face towards Natsuki and Rin "you two shall meet here in Two days with a different dish! And you," he pointed towards Natsuki "shall make a breakfast dish while the boy creates a dessert!" Rin and Natsuki both Nodded, as a signal that they understood. Once the Judges left and everyone had their stands cleaned up, Rin walked over to Natsuki with a huge grin on his face and held out his hand
"You did pretty good! I can't wait to cook against you again. My names Rin!" Natsuki turned her head, blushing lightly, she's never been approached by a boy so kindly. She grabbed his hand and shook it "I'm Natsuki! But you're stupid if you think I'm going to lose to you!" she them drew her hand back and walked away to her friend Sayori. Rin blinked and watched her walk away. 'theres something about her..'
