the begining

Candy's pov
"Hello can we get out of here now" exclaimed Ngiya.  " what's taking so long it's just a birthday party. I roll my eyes the third time. She gets this impatient when she want to see her boyfriend / boss take about illicit affairs. 
"Here I am, God I need to get laid don't you???"
I  duck as she throws a pillow and blushes crimson red. 
"Someone did get laid" I say
" can you wipe that smack of your face before I wipe it for u " groans.
"OK ok let's get out of here we got a birthday to crash"
" I will love seeing Leo's face on he see you , it's been what 2 months since you guys last saw each other,  right?" goes Ngiya.
At the mention of his name my body flushes with longing. If u haven't gotten it yet Leo is my boyfriend, best friend and love of my life.
The last two months have been hell not seeing him. I never liked long distance relationships but with him I made it work.
We walk out of the house and drive to the party. Technically am not invited but the party girl is Leo's sister's best friend and since am family, almost any way,  I get to crush the party.
When we get there I can feel the anticipation flowing from my smallest finger to my brain.
A couple of guys are milling around the front porch and they direct us to the dinner,  odd I thought it was a party not dinner. Dinner sounds too formal but whatever. As we walk towards the dining room I get this strange vibe and look at Ngiya who had the same look on. When we get to the end off the narrow hallway Ngiya stops in her tracks frozen. As I look up to see what had her so shocked, I freeze to in my tracks not making a peep. In front of me is Leo on his knee proposing to to Grace, the birthday girl and all our friends are watching. I think I will be sick.  She says yes and kisses him. Am definitely sick.  Really sick. 
My man, boyfriend is getting married, best prank ever.

Everyone turns around to the hallway  and see's me and all of them are star struck.  I guess they didn't expect me. Well hell!!!
