PROLOGUE

“Emily!”Her cold voice called out to me

A shiver ran up through my back as I heard her calling, of course I know who she is, how can’t I? my worst nightmare Katherine Pierce or should I call her Katherina Petrova.

“Yes Ma’am” I replied frustrated.

“The Salvatore Brothers will be here any minute. Please make sure they are well welcomed you know how much they are precious to me” She said all smiling

“Of course Ma’am” I responded,

   The salvatore brothers were her latest toys. She was using them for her own joy as she always does to anybody who caught her eyes, poor guys they don’t know what she is planning for them. I fixed the place up as best as I could to miss Katherine’s liking, in no time the first Salvatore brother showed up, and to miss Katherine’s liking it was Stefan Salvatore the younger brother. There was one thing I agreed with miss Katherine about and that was her taste in new blood, he was dashing to say the least and the most complete gentlemen. 

“Hello Emily” he greeted with a wild smile in his face “Is miss Katherine here, I am looking forward to meeting her again.”

“She is in the common area, she was waiting for your arrival.”I gestured over to the left where she was waiting.

“Stefan” I heard her say “You look handsome dear as you always do”

“Not as much as you lovely” he said before giving her a kiss on the hand. Such a gentlemen.

I left them there with their fantasies and I went to my room looking for loneliness.

“Mother who is there with miss Katherine”

“Who else except her new pass time? It’s Sir Stefan Salvator of course” 

    My daughter Rachel was the most beautiful girl in Mystic Falls. Brown straight hair, Blue/Green eyes, red fulfil lips and was gorgeous, you could look at her and tell she had the benette look, I don't know whether it was her stare or the way she was able to figure things out in no time, my daughter is one of a kind.

“What about sir Damon mother, isn’t he coming aswell ?” 

“And why would you want to know ? hey Young lady Katherine’s toys are untouchable” I glared at her

“Relax mother I was just asking. I don’t want to get in any trouble with miss Katherine. I am perfectly fine the way I am, I don’t need trouble neither am I searching for them.” 

“Good, Miss Katherine is doing us a huge favor in not telling our little secret and she’s even keeping us alive.”

“Yes Mother I know this, If the council ever found out what we are there would be major trouble. I got it.” My daughter was quick in wit, I never held to much back from her. “And you better hurry I am hearing knocking, I bet it’s mister goodlooking Sir Damon Salvatore” she said while smiling “Can i go open the door this one time please”

How can you say No to those beautiful angel especially when she is doing the puppy eyes “Okay but just this one time Rachel” 

“Thank you mother” she hugged me and run to the door

“Just this one time remember Rachel”

“Yeah I know, you’re the best mother”

She skipped a little too happy out the room,I rolled my eyes.She was always so enthusiastic to see Sir Damon, he like his brother was also dashing but had a bit of a edge to him. And meanwhile I decided it was time for a good nap. 

I woke up from my sleep by the scream of my daughter,my precious daughter I ran to where the scream was and found Katherine Pierce locking my daughter my Rachel in the cave.

“MOTHER HELP ME !!! SAVE ME PLEASE” Rachel cried ,I was unable to do anything 

“Miss Katherine please let go of my daughter what did she do ?” 

“Well Emily I can’t, she was flirting with Damon, MY Damon you both know that  he’s not in your reach. They are a lot of boys that she can have fun with the Salvatores are MINE” and by that she walked away leaving me with tears in my eyes and I followed her crying 

“Please Katherine she learned her lesson please let her free” I turned to where the Salvatore brothers were “Sir Damon, sir Stefan please save my daughter i’m begging you”. 

“No” i heard but it wasn’t them it was Katherine “Don’t even bother trying I compelled them”

How could she I couldn’t believe my eyes how can a women like her have so much evil inside

“Well in that case you left me no other choice Katherine” and by this I put my hat on and headed to the door, but of course she was there before me, yeah vampires are fast. 

“Where are you going Emilie” She said smiling like that would affect me she knows I can’t be compelled not because I am a witch but because I wear and drink vervain everyday.

“Well I am going to see Mr Gilbert” I don’t know where from this confidence came but I was glad 

“No you won’t Emily” her eyes flinched,she was scared I knew that she knew that I would go and tell him that she’s a vampire and get her killed.

“Watch me” I simply replied.

“What about YOU watch me first” and by that she was gone 

“huh” I was confused, watch her do what, and then I heard Rachel screams “Oh my goodness NO!” 

I ran to where rachel was being held captive and found her dead and Katherine’s mouth covered with blood my OWN daughter’s blood 

“How could you?Kill my daughter? and you think that that would stop me from telling Mr Gilbert who you really are MONSTER” As I was about to leave I heard choking  noise,My daughter was still alive but how ?I gasped as I realised what just happened I hurried over to my child's side 

“Now you can go tell your Mr Gilbert about my identity and by that you will kill your daughter as well” Katherine added while laughing then left me with my daughter alone in the cave.

“Mother what’s happening to me ? Does this mean will lose my powers mother?”Rachel was so scared and I could see that in her eyes.

I stroked her hair “Don’t worry sweetheart I won’t let that happen i’ll save you precious diamond of mine”

After her transition was completed I told  Rachel to run away and never return to mystic falls,I never saw her since but my relation with Katherine stayed the same she was the mistress and I was the server as long as she was no harm to my daughter, but still the memories from that day still haunt me,when Katherine did the most unspeakable thing to me, and I was sure my daughter Rachel Bennett will come back to take her revenge on Katherine Pierce.
