Mak's point of view

  After Kou was taken away..because of me...I started walking around the rich part of town. This is the part of town where all the rich people are. Also where the people who will do anything to get money. I don't belong here.

  I walked by a mansion that I know. I don't know who lives in it but there is a boy here....he hates my gut to be honest. The last time I walked by, he was out here doing something, and told me to hold a big pile of mud. If course im weak so I cant do that, but he pushed me into a mud puddle and laughed his butt off. Stupid rich people!

  I feel bad tho because of what I did to him. I got mad and pulled him it the puddle with me. So I'm going to go and apologize to him. I just don't think he'll expect my apology. Well it's worth a try.

  I walked up to the door and knocked. "Hello? Uh-umm...I'm the girl that you pushed in the mud puddle...a-and I pulled you in...I-im sorry for that!" The door opened, revealing the kid him self. He was...crying!? "Are you ok!? Doo you need help!?" He wiped his tears and nodded. " is it ok if I come in? I don't want to get you mad... "  he nodded and moved out of the way to welcome me in. I stepped into the house and saw that no one else was here. "Where is everyone else?" He started to cry more. " Oh! I-im sorry! I didn't mean to do anything! " he came over and hugged me.

  I was shocked! I've never been hugged by a rich person before! I patted his back and hugged back. "What happened? And what's your name?"  "M-my dad...he went bankrupt...and now the maids are looking for stuff that are worth a lot of money so they can sell them...but my dad...h-he hung himself...and my mom...she ran off with her secret lover that my dad didn't know know about...she left a note saying she loves me...but I don't think she did..." My eyes widen. "Oh! I'm so sorry! Would you like me to stay here? I would love to comfort you...not in a weird way...just to make you feel better." He nodded. " what's your name? I never got that... " "m-my name is Ruki, what's yours?" " my name is Mak. "

Ruki's point of view

  This is girl is really nice, even though she still remembers how I treated her, but she is still very nice. "Please...come sit down" she walked into the main room and sat down on the couch. Right now I would get mad at her and tell her to leave, but I needed someone to talk to. I

  I walked over to her and sat next to her. "Uh-umm...would you like to come to my house? I think it should be safe by now..." I looked at her. " what Do you mean by that? " I saw a tear rolled down her cheek. "My dad...I had a friend over....my dad had to much to drink...he was looking for me so he could probably hurt me....but my friend and I his under my bed. He started to hurt my mom...and I just left her there without doing anything. I feel like the worst daughter ever!" I grabbed her hand and stood up. "Well! Last go look! And if anything happens to you in pretty sure he'll be scared of me." She looked up at me and Reyes her best to smile through the tears in her eyes. "Ok! Lets go!" She stood up next t me.

  I grabbed a jacket from my room, It was a little bit for her but she said it was good enough for her. We walked out of the door when we saw a woman running up to us. "Mak! Get back inside that house!" Her eyes widen and ran up to the woman. " Mom! " she hugged her mom as I can up to them. "Is this your mom?" Mak nodded.

  "You did a good job at raising your daughter. She never holds a grudge against anyone...no matter what mistakes they may have done." Her mom smiled.

  There was a man running up to them. "Mak! What's this boys name?" " Ruki, why? " Mak's mom likes at me. "Is it ok if we can hide in your house? That's her dad!" I nodded my head and we ran into the house. We locked the door so the dad couldn't get in.

  "Miss...May I ask what your name is?" I asked. " Oh! I guess I should tell you...my name is lia! And your name is ruki? Am I correct? " I nodded. "Nice to meet you lia." I held out my hand. " nice to meet you ruki! " she extended her hand and we shook hands.

  "So I understand that your husband is abusive when he's drunk? Would you like help with that?" She shook her head. " No, we got it covered. The plan is Mak and I hide with each other and we wait until her dad passes out so we can come out of hiding. I then take her to the orphanage to look and see if we can adopt a boy to be her brother. Mal really hates it there as we stopped going a few months ago. We than started to go to the cafe! " wow...mak has a life like this? I feel bad for her... "Does she have any scars from her dad?" She nodded.

  "Mak, may I show them?" Mak nodded. Lia lifted her shirt a little from the back and there we 5 scars just from that little bit! She continued lifting her shirt until she had it over her head but still on. Her whole back was covered in scars and bruises. "Would you like me to help with those?" Mak shook her head.

  Banging on the door stopped and we looked out the window. The man was gone. We opened the door slowly and ran out the door just in case her dad was just hiding. We ran all the way to her house and locked the door to make sure he didn't come in.

  "Ok...you kids stay here and I'll get snacks." We both nodded. Her mom came out with snacks. We started to eat them but than I realised that I've never had food like this. I've only had the expensive and fancy food! This was really good! "I have to say, this is really good. I've never had food like this before."

There was a knock on the door...

Lia got up and looked out the window. She opened the door and went outside to talk. Mak and I exchanged glances then when back to eating.

  "Umm....ruki? There is a man out here....he wants to talk to you." I nodded my head and stood up. Mak quickly grabbed my hand and sat me back down. "Tell him to come in here mom." Mak didn't look at her mom or me, she just looked at the floor.

  Seconds later the man walks in and looks at me. "You, come with us." Mak stood up and looked at the guy. " You! Go away! Leave this house! You have no right to take this kid! " the man just laughed. "We have permission to do this by that kids parent's! Before he was born we were told to do this when and if they went missing!" I was shocked! They did that?!

  "Fine....take me away." I turned around to face Mak. She was wide eyed. "No...ruki...why?" I just smiled. " Its for mine and your own good...that's why. " with that, I left the house.

That was the last time I saw Mak and her mom...

Ok!! That was a long chapter! I didn't want it to be that long but it turned out like that anyway!! I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I have a special guest!
