Hey guys! I decided that I am going to start updating more because I really just don't have anything to do with my life...jk I really just think this whole writing thing is fun. I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Emily's POV

As I pull up to the apartment that I was offered along with the job, I was surprised. In my head I imagined moving into a tiny little apartment building where everything looked as if it were 275 years old, but this was far from what I imagined. I slowly park my car in the garage and notice how sleek the entire building was. It looked like the building was made to be a business office. When I get out of my car I decide that I'm going to go in before getting my belongings so that I know exactly where I was going.

I open the clear glass doors to see a short red headed man at the front desk. "May I help you?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm moving in tonight and I don't seem to know where to go yet." I day as I take in my surroundings. The lobby looked elegant, nothing that I would seem to be able to afford. There were black leather couches and golden lamps. How on earth did I end up here? This building looks like it costs a million dollars per room.

"May I have your name please?" the man asks.

"Emily, Emily Pentland is my name."

The man takes a moment to look on his computer screen until he finally says "Oh, yes Emily you may follow me," he leads me to an elevator and we step in. As I take I sip from the ice tea I bought during lunch he speaks once again." Here is your key, you will be staying in the penthouse suite." I almost choke on my beverage.

"Penthouse?" This has to be some sort of mistake. I couldn't let the man who gave me a modeling job pay for a penthouse as well! How rich could he possibly be to just offer a job and a penthouse?

"Yes if was said that you will be staying in our penthouse. Don't worry, it's already paid for. There shouldn't be any complications."

I'm at a loss for words so I just nod at him. After a long moment of awkward silence we finally reach the top floor. I step out into a very large, empty room. It takes me a moment to realize that it was my penthouse.

"Is something wrong, you don't like it?" the bellhop asks.

"Are you kidding?! I don't even know what to say!" with that he just smiles and nods.

"Well, good luck! If you ever need me I should be downstairs. My name is Ed by the way."

"Okay, I'll make sure to find you if I need any help...Ed." he simply gives me another big smile and goes back into the elevator. Wow, what do I even do right now? The space is large, covered with hardwood floor and white walls. It was a bit empty, and all that was in the room was a small, brown leather couch. I took a moment to walk up the staircase into a not her large room. The entire upstairs had a walk in closet, bathroom, and the rest was my bedroom. All that was I the bedroom was a nice full size bed, and yet another small leather couch. It still hasn't processed in my mind how his was possible.

After about half an hour I got my small amount of belongings up into my penthouse. I swear, the man who gave me this penthouse is an angel. The only negative? If I lose my job, I lose this penthouse. Once again I would be abandoned and left to live in the streets. If only I could see Liz's face if she saw me now. I take it back, this wasn't a day sent from hell. I still can't believe it's still only been less than a day since I left. This was one long ass day. You should probably go to sleep my subconscious tells me and for once I don't argue with her.

I quickly ran upstairs into the bathroom, took my toothbrush out, and brushed my teeth. I don't think I could have had a longer day. In one day I left my sisters house, started a modeling job, met two cute boys, a new friend, did two shoots, embarrassed myself, hugged a boy, and moved into a penthouse. I really need sleep even though it's only like 8 pm at the moment. I didn't even have time to eat dinner.

As I finished getting ready for bed I take out my iphone 4 that I managed to buy about a year ago and set my alarm so that I wouldn't be late...I mean too late. Before I knew it I dozed off into a deep sleep.

*dream/flashback*

I'm the only person in my entire senior class that didn't have their family come to their graduation. I wasn't very upset though, I've gotten used to it. As I walked on and off the stage to get my diploma I felt no emotion. It was as if everything going around is a big blur. I wasn't smart enough to get a scholarship or become valedictorian, but I could really just care less. I don't even know what I want to do with my life. I have no one. Tears threatened to spill as I was about to leave the auditorium when someone taps on my shoulder.

"Hey, I see you're leaving right now. Are you okay?" the man asks.

"Yeah, I mean I'm all alone. I guess that's okay, I'm pretty used to it."

"What are you going to do after?"

"What do you mean?"

"After you leave as a new graduate?"

"I really don't know, I wish I did but I don't," He looks upset.

"Here why don't you give me a call if you want? I can give you a modeling job and a home. " He hands me a small business card with a number, nothing else. I nod at him as he slowly walks away. Maybe I will call him someday.

*drifts into another dream*

Well then, looks like another chapter finished. It's a slight cliffhanger, but I still hoped you enjoyed it. For anyone who was confused the writing in italics in this chapter is a dream/ flashback which means that she is dreaming about something that had actually happened. I noticed that all four chapters all took place on the same day, but the next days probably won't be that long. I hope everyone liked this chapter

Just so you know my realllllly, realllllly good friend, ally310 is also writing a great fanfiction here on Wattpad called Alone. Make my bestie happy. Be sure to check it out. I'm watching you. ;)
