It's a beautiful day outside.
Birds are singing, flowers are blooming.
On days like these, kids like me...
"Finally get a girlfriend!!"It was a perfect day today, I had just graduated college, pretty early in fact as I was only the age of a highschool student. It was great today, being as it is, I plan on using my degrees and knowledge to become the most successful Quantum Bio-Mechanical Genetic Engineer and Physicist.
[A/n- it actually is my dream, though I only seem to be able to come up with break throughs in energy production.
If you can't understand what the job entitles, it is a big fancy way of saying I can make cyborg cat people and give people wings, shift around their genders, create immortality, perfectly clone people, regrow limbs from the person themself, reverse the human aging process, give people photographic memory, etc. In other words, it means break the laws of physics, nature, morales, God, life, reality, and simply put it... play God]Ah yes, today was good. I finally was able to confess to my crush, which admittedly almost made me feint before I even asked her out.
She was a senior to me at my old school, she was a really good, kind, and caring person, but damn it she was sexy. She was innocent too, so she had no idea just how much of a catch she was.
People had been asking her out before me for months, and all of them had been turned down. Every. Single. One.
Things couldn't get any better, but they did. As I looked up at the sky, I noticed it had begun to darken. It wasn't getting late, but it appears that a storm was coming in, and by the looks of it the storm was pretty bad. I had to hurry.
Why did I have to hurry?
MY DATE, WHY ELSE?!?!See, this is my first date, so I have a standard I must uphold.
While I was racing against the clock, I didn't notice the speedily oncoming storm. As I was nearing the spot where we were supposed to meet, I slowed down and watched the jumbo screen in the central plaza as I passed. It showed me, and one of my few successful test subjects. I say few because I still wasn't able to restore any connective nerve cells to the other subjects, since they were all brain dead. But this subject was different, well their situation was.
Their name was Jack Stunbrou, an ex-marine, who had lost their arm during the war, and was condemned to a wheelchair, never to walk again. But I changed his fate. With my research, I had been able to regrow his lost limb in little over three weeks. It was a success.
Sure he still was unable to walk, but we had been able to create artificial nerve strand cells for those. It may not be organic, but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.
At this point the storm had begun being violent, with blustering winds, and moderately heavy rainfall...
But I didn't care.I'm young, somewhat wealthy, a big success underway, the ability to change the world as we know it, and I finally have a gorgeous girl friend.
"Nothing could possibly go wrong!"As I said that, I felt as though I just jinxed myself there.
Ah, there she is, my wonderful girlfriend... Wait...
"Watch out!!!"(Crash!!! Boom!!!)
Yep, I totally jinxed myself back there. Oh well, at least I saved her life, and my research can be continued without me. It was a good run...
Damn It!! No it wasn't, I want to see the future with my own eyes, I want to live.
Would you like to start again
