Chapter 2~The River and Xack

I walk over to Draco and tilt my head."How did he fall asleep so quickly?" I asked myself out loud. Lunar walked over to him and nudged him with her snout. "No Ender... a few more minutes.." He mumbles sleepily. She growled and smacked him on the back of the head with her paw. He jumped up and yelped."Owie! That hurt! Who did- uh.. what's going on?" He asked as he looked around at all of us."If you weren't sleeping you would've known! But the short version is we've been turned into wolves and are in a forest." Gold explains to him. "How?! And what are we gonna do now?" He asks. I think about it for a second."We should find shelter first. Then we can find food." I say. They all agree so we set off. I jump on tree stumps and large rocks as we continue walking. Soon enough, we reach a river and across the other side of it was a fairly nice looking cave that we could stay in. It was big and roomy with a few piles of leaves inside. Unfortunately, the current of the river was too strong to swim across, but there were a path of rocks we could jump across."So, who's going first?" I asked. "I guess I will since I'm the oldest." Rainbow says as she begins jumping across the rocks. This is the order we go in: Rainbow~Lunar~Draco~Gold~Me. "Be careful guys, this rock is slippery." She tells everyone as she continues jumping across the rocks. I didn't hear her warning because my mind was focused on other things, like how we were going to get back home, but then I was suddenly aware of the rock being slippery because I slipped and fell into the river. "Gah!" I yelled as I thrashed around in the water to stay afloat, which didn't help because I sank like a rock. As I was panicking on what to do, I heard a splash and saw a large animal swimming towards me. Once it reached me it grabbed me by the scruff of my neck and swam upwards. When we broke surface I coughed and took a long and deep breath as it climbed onto the rocks and carried me the rest of the way across the river. It placed me in the grass and shook the water out of its fur. I turned around and looked up to see a adult wolf, probably a male. He was grey and white with a black tip of his tail.

"Funneh! Are you okay?!" Lunar ran to me and tackled me to the ground. "I said the rock was slippery Funneh. Do you ever listen?" Rainbow asked me. "I'm glad your okay!" Gold exclaims. "Who's that?" Draco asked, looking up at the wolf. We all turned our attention to the wolf. "Hello young pups. My name is Xack. I'm an outcast of the MistFall Pack." The wolf said as he sat down. Lunar tilted her head. "If your so bad you were outcast, why did you help Funneh?" She asked him curiously. "The only reason I was outcast was because I refused to obey an order. And I couldn't just stand and watch a pup drown. What kind of wolf would I be if I did that?" He asks calmly. "Good point." Lunar says. "Anyway, thanks for saving me! Do you know if this cave belongs to anyone?" I asked him and he looked at me. "Yes, it does. That cave is...
