The New Player

Wait, where am I? That's right, that guy threw dust in my face. Okay, so they probably took us back to their camp. I have my hands tied behind my back, to someone else's, probably Rose. I slowly blink, so as to not draw attention to myself. After my eyes have adjusted to the light, I slowly tilt my head so I can see where I am. I survey the area. It is about midday, and the boys are all milling around. I can feel anticipation in the air, I had better wake Rose. I start poking her back. All of a sudden, she sits up straight and sits still. I notice that all of the boys are staring at us. Great, we have attracted their attention. The tall one with the scarred eye comes over. He squats down facing Rose.

"Let's try that again," he says slowly.

"How did you two, get on the island?"

For a second I am worried she will spill the beans. She doesn't though, instead she blows a raspberry in his face. He slowly wipes his face. He then walks over to me, and squats down once again. I hope he doesn't know I am awake. He grabs my hair, and I know what he is going to do next. So to stop him I scream at the top of my lungs.

"AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!"

He jumps back startled, and I look up at him and laugh.

"Rose, you should have seen his face. Oh oh oh, my side hurts, hahaha."

He looks down at me with resentment carved into his face, as I just stare up at him and smile.

"Will you tell me how you got on the island?"

I sit up straight and reply, in the most sarcastic voice I can muster, "Well, I am sorry to inform you that your simple mind will not understand the timeline of our existence up to this point."

At this point Rose is stifling laughter, and having a hard time keeping it together. Then the group of boys starts to part revealing someone walking towards us.

"Have they told us yet Felix?"

"No, they haven't," replied the one with the scar.

The new person squats down and says, "Hello, I am Peter Pan."
