Withered

Hidden in the fields on the birth of spring

Showered by the tears from the angels who sing

A lullaby to a broken hearted girl

Laying in the grass surrounded by thorns

The dirt below nurishing the rose

Is home to the boy who held her close

She screams "Please god just take my breath away,

Or numb my heart to ease away this pain"

Too young to die too old to live another day

And he ran out of time to stay

She spends every moment visiting his grave

He watches her from the sky day by day

Looking at her eyes he sees the storm

Through her green iris and loving warmth

He feels the misery that she holds

She screams "Please god just take my breath away"

Or numb my heart to ease away this pain"

Too young to die too old to live another day

And he ran out of time to stay

She takes the broken glass to her throat

And falls before the roses that she put

On the grave of her beloved friend

And bled out the night until her death

The rain crys down on her now

Another rose has withered out

The rain crys down on her now

Another rose has withered out
