I've always believed Fountain Valley was a peaceful place, as I've grown up here for my whole life. It wasn't really a place where you'd see a crime being committed or a place where a death happened on even the smallest of scale. Even at Fountain Valley High School, there was virtually no fights, no stealing, no vandalism; everything about the town just felt so perfectly fine. Because of this, when I had to write out the main headline one day for the school newspaper, I already knew with the information I had from what I've witnessed, I was about to change everything.

The whole school was stunned after they found out about the suicide of Sophomore Freddy Walton after seeing the front cover of the paper. He was a highly respected and well-known student by his peers, for he was an artist, and a great one too. Of European descent, Irish mainly, the poor ginger-haired, four-eyed boy would be grieved for many days after the news got out. His creations were always posted outside the art room as a way to advertise the program, and all who saw his art for the first time were absolutely amazed by his talent. It's too bad that his talent is what led to his death in the first place.

It all began with the art show, where he hoped to amaze the audience with a portrait of his girlfriend. He was pretty lucky to even get one really. She went by the name of Tori Webb, a Freshman who obviously made him really happy. She wasn't the most beautiful girl at the school really. She had short brown hair, along with small brown eyes and a small nose; really everything about her was small as she was pretty much a petite girl, but she seemed to compensate with a big smile that always cheered Freddy up. He claimed that he never cared about looks though; her personality was what truly won him over. They became friends and really hit it off, and I guess that's why Freddy decided to take it the next level. Of course, their relationship wasn't perfect, although Tori was never the problem according to what I've heard. Freddy felt he was the only one that could mess up their relationship. Fred would find out how true that was later.

Moe Saleb was the reason why I got to know about Fred in the first place. He seemed to be a nice guy, and although he was of some Arab race he was obviously whitewashed, and because of that, I could relate to him fairly well. The guy was about the same average height as Fred but had brown curly hair and a mole on his right cheek that looked kind of funny. I met him through a project we did in history class our Freshman year (last year), and after we exchanged numbers I would continue to text him for as long as the project took. One of those days we drifted off into a conversation about his friend Freddy, and that's how I got to learn about him, his art, his girlfriend, and vice versa. Moe also told me he met Fred way back in elementary school, and as they both were struggling to find friends who stayed committed, they decided to become friends. They always hung out at lunch and hung out with the same people ever since. His parents were definitely glad they met, as they said Freddy was the best influence Moe ever had. If there ever was one person Fred could trust it was him, and later he would see how true that was also.

It would be within the days to follow the art show that would determine Freddy's fate, and even while this all happened I understood why it came down to what it did...
