Chapter 3: Hobo teachers and Wall-E students

I entered to Physics classroom and watched as Jess went and sat in the back leaving me alone,  and very aware of the twenty eight or so pair of eyes staring at me.  The teacher Mr. Kawls, I know weird name right? Anyways he stood up and welcomed me. “Oh you must be the new kid! Welcome to John McKinley, I’ll be your Physics teacher Mr. Kawls don’t be afraid of me and my looks, and take a seat anywhere you’d like, although there aren’t much places to choose from…” He finished of murmuring to himself; I barely caught what he said. He looked like the kind of teacher that made the class be entertaining even though he looked like a hobo.  He could be a little scary with his hair all crazed up sticking in every direction possible and just by his sides, since he was bald in the upper part of his head, and the hobo clothes style, but something told me I would get along great with Emmett Kelly’s look-a-like.

There was a seat near a window and one behind Jess, so I chose the later, since I felt less awkward there.  The guy, who gave me a strange resemblance of a hippie, started the class spontaneously and had me at his every word.  It was really fun, never thought I would say that about a class, but he with his personality just made it interesting.

The bell rung signaling the end of first period and we went out into the crowded hallway, I took out my schedule and went to room 211 which was Math.  I hated Math, ever since my 6th grade teacher said I was supposedly ‘good’ at it and made me entered Math club, I was a certified nerd at the time.  The rest of the classes were pretty boring, I had to introduce myself and fill out a card with my information still being completely aware of the staring people.  Hours passed and before I knew it, it was already time for lunch.  Jess was surprisingly waiting for me at the doors so I wouldn’t eat alone.  I thanked her for the gesture and we went in and got in line, while I was waiting a guy who looked like the epitome of a douche neared us.

“Hey Jessica. Who’s your friend?” He said eyeing me not so subtly; thank God I had my hoodie on other wise his perverted eyes would’ve been glued to my chest.

“None of your business, Brandon.”, Jessica replied with an annoy look on her face.

“Now now Jess, don’t be so rude, I just want to introduce myself.”

“Now now Brandon, back off, she doesn’t need to meet a self-centered jackass.”

“Sweetheart you don’t have to be jealous, you now we can still go at it.” He replied, throwing a knowing wink at her way.

With a scoff and a slight sneer Jessica told him, “As if, Brandon, my patience with you is wearing thin so I’ll be kind enough to suggest you leave if you don’t want me to eliminate even the slightest possibility of ever procreating children, not that any woman would actually want to have that with you.  And for your own sake, don’t get near her, we wouldn’t want your nasty man-whore germs infecting her.” The delicious smell of hamburgers invaded my nose making my stomach grumble with anticipation.

The Brandon dude started backing off with his hands up in surrender, but he didn’t leave without saying, “You’re just a fierce as I remember you honey.”

I held Jessica’s arms as she made an attempt to go after him.  I didn’t want her to get into trouble or anything at just the 3rd month of school.  In the corner of my eye I saw him go to what seemed to be his group of friends, bluffing about his little talk with Jess.  They were all but one, staring at my way, and the one who wasn’t staring, was the only guy who actually caught my attention.  We got our food and paid for it, while Jess looked for the table in which she mostly sat with her friends.  Spotting them we went and sat down while the big chatter died down, when they saw me.
