Let's Kill Time

*Natsu's POV*

     I sat up and looked at her, "I was kidding but I didn't know you felt at ease around me. Thanks Luce!" I squeezed her cheek. She puffed them out and turned away. I jumped off her bed and looked around, "so what do you wanna do?"

She looked back at me, "what do you mean?" I put my arms on my waist, "well it looks like we'll be stuck in here for a while. Plus Happy isn't with us. Let's kill time." She nodded her head, "okay sure. But what do we do?" I shurgged, "well I don't know, it's your place Luce, what do we do?" Lucy looked at me then laughed, "well ok, let's decide on something after we eat breakfast." I nodded obediently.

I've stayed here a couple of times, so it wasn't all knew that we ate breakfast together. One time Levy came over when we were eating, she seemed surprised. When Lucy went to go find a book Levy needed, she told me that usually only 'couples' do that and giggled. Couples? That's like two people right? Lucy and I are partners. There's two of us. That's a couple!

     I set the plates and silverware, I was about to grab the napkins when Lucy callled me over, "hey Natsu? Come here." I walked over to the stove and saw her fiddle with the knobs, she sighed and looked towards me, "the stove isn't working. The snow must've hit the pipes. Can you, please?" I laughed and nodded. Slowly I put my finger where the flames usually glow, and lit it. I grinned and walked back to setting up the napkins. The stove has gone out on us before, Lucy was too tired to get the landlady, so we tested it out with my flames. It worked pretty well.

     Lucy got the food and brought it to the table. We sat down and started eating. There were eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, orange juice. It was great. While I was chewing, I looked over at Lucy. She was fiddling with her hair, trying to keep it out of her face, she always has hair ties laying around. I saw one by the counter, I got up and grabbed it, "here." I said while I sat the hair tie down by her. Lucy smiled and grabbed it, tying her hair into a ponytail. Her hair was pretty long, it wasn't a dirty blonde color, it was like a nice bright blonde. Almost yellow. Lucy would always put her hair into a side ponytail that traveled all the way down her body. I guess I was really the only person that saw it down. Even when someone came to the door, she would hurry and tie her hair up. So why did she leave it down when I was with her?

     Lucy looked at me questionably. I realized I was still standing there staring at her. I sat back down, "Luce?" She hummed in response since she was eating so I continued, "why do you leave your hair down when you're with me, I mean you usually hurry and tie it when someone comes over. What's the difference?" Lucy finished chewing and pondered for a moment, "well I never noticed that. I guess it's because I'm always with you Natsu, so I'm able to be myself. I leave my hair down with you because it's comfy and well I put my hair up when people are around because it's more appropriate than having it bushy. For me that is. Erza's hair is down, but it's still nice." I nodded. Why does she think it looks weird? I mean I think it suits her.

     "I think it's pretty, when you leave it down. Well I mean you're already naturally pretty, but it's nice when you leave it down. I mean you're still beautiful with it up." I smiled, hoping to boost her confidence. Lucy's face turned a bright pink, "r-really?" I grinned and nodded, "of course Luce!" She smiled and continued eating.

     I just noticed she really is beautiful.

     We finished eating and cleaned up. Luce started doing the dishes as I put the food away. After we both cleaned up the kitchen, we both sat down on the couch. Lucy rubbed her arms and looked around, "it's seriously starting to get cold. The heater should be on." She got back up and started messing with the panel on the wall. Suddenly she started jamming random buttons and hit the wall. I got up and rubbed her back, "calm down before you make a hole right there." Lucy sighed and rubber her arms again, "the heater's not working. It'll get even colder now."

     Lucy walked towards her room and started going through her clothes. I walked back into the kitchen and made us hot chocolate. I knew Lucy was going to change, and I wasn't going to invade her space that much.

     I made two cups of cocoa, they were nice and warm. Lucy walked in with a pink sweater on that also had a hood. Her hair was down, it fell onto her shoulders nicely. She had something else in her hand, before I could ask, she tossed it to me. "Here, I bought you a sweater earlier this month, just for safety precautions." I caught the sweater and chuckled at her excuse. Lucy knows I don't get cold but she always worried anyway. I decided to put the sweater on, for her sake.

     It was a purple one. I felt like that Ice Pervert. But it was pretty cozy so I couldn't complain.

I grinned, "thanks Luce. It's nice!" Lucy smiled as her cheeks tinted a light pink. That's been happening a lot lately.

I handed her a cup, which she gladly took. She sipped it with a delighted humm, obviously happy with the warmness it gave her. She once again shivered as the cold air came in contact with her body again. I sighed knowing that she was still cold. She looked at me, she must've seen the worries on my face, "Natsu I'm fine. Really." She walked passed me and stopped, taking another sip of her drink. I didn't want her to be cold, what good would I be? Hey, I'm like a human heater...like a blanket! Without hesitation, I walked up to Lucy and wrapped my arms around her waist. Her back pressed against my chest, I really hope this helps.

She gasped as her whole body stiffened, "N-Natsu, what are you doing?" I rubbed my head against hers, "I'm warming you up Luce. You're cold and my bodies not. So it works. Just trust me."

Lucy slowly relaxed, after awhile she smiled and closed her eyes. I guess she gave into the warmth. I nuzzled my head against hers again, and to my surprise, she sighed in delight. I chuckled but kept my arms in place.

Lucy finished with her cup and was going to place it by the sink. She was about to pull out of my grasp but for some reason, I didn't want to let her go.

     I pulled her back and continued to hold her. After I realized what I did, I'm certain Lucy's going to kick me. I shut my eyes and waited for the impact.
