chapter seventeen

"I'm eren..it's nice meeting you, and again, I apologise.'
Farlan laughed and ruffled eren's hair with his hand.
"It's fine already kiddo, if I must say so myself I wasn't quite paying attention either."
He smiled.
Eren looked at him and returned a small smile, what a kind man was this farlan.
"Maybe I'll just let a friend check on me since I don't want the burns to turn into a scar, that would make my job even harder.."
Farlan muttered.
"Your job?" He asked.
Farlan made eye contact with eren and gave him a warm smile.
"Yeah, I work as a doctor in the corps hospital, I can't see very eel so I can't inspect my own injury now"
"I see.." eren muttered.
Before farlan could start talking about something else again, eren stood up.
"I really have to go now."
Farlan broke eye contact and looked down.
"Ha..I see..I understand." His eyes were getting watery.
Eren immediately felt quilt.
"But maybe...we can drink something together before I go?"
Farlan looked up extremely happy and smiled, his perfect white teeth showing.
"Yes! Let's do that!"

Eren Sat down on the couch, next to farlan, together they were drinking some hot tea while having weird,funny but also serious conversations.
"I've always wanted a dog" eren smiled.
"Really? Why?" Farlan took a sip of his tea and fully had attention for eren.
"Well..with dogs you can really build up a bound...and they won't leave you suddenly.." eren played with the button of his shirt.
Farlan looked a bit down but then smiled.
"I won't leave you, okay kiddo? I don't know what happenend in your past but I won't ask about it either. Just use me as comfort."
He said and ruffled eren's brown hair with light blonde strands.
He won't dye it again, at least that's what he thinks for now.

Time was passing by fast, they talked for 3 hours straight.
Eren didn't get bored of farlan, and farlan didn't get bored of eren.
Farlan was a really kind man, he lost his girlfriend Isabel two years ago.
He said that eren resembled her alot.
Farlan refilled eren's tea. "Drink up, I added some extra sugar."
Eren nodded and drank the tea.
"Do you want a cookie?" Farlan took a seat next to eren.
"Yeah s-
*BOEM* *BOEM* *BOEM*
"FARLANNNN!!" A man with a deep voice yelled and roughly kicked against his front door.
Fear was to be seen in farlan's eyes.
"Just....ignore him.." His hands were trembling.
*BAM* *BAM* "OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!!"
"Is it someone you know..?" Eren asked sofly.
Farlan looked at the ground. "An old friend......h ....he killed my Isabel...."
He clenched his fists and held in his tears.
Eren's eyes widened. "...we...we need to calm the police!"
He grabbed farlan's hands.
Farlan smiled a bit. "Lets just ignore him....please...."
Eren nodded a bit.
They both say back down, drank their tea,ate a cookie but didn't talk this time.
Eren drank all of his tea.
Silence.....
"He's gone...." farlan looked frustrated and closed his eyes for a few seconds.
*BAM!!!*

The door was slammed open and fell down broken.
"FARLAN YOU FUCKER!!!" The man yelled on top of his lungs and stepped the living room in.
Eren's eyes widened.
Levi..
Levi looked at eren and he was in utter shock, he decided he needed to take care of something or someone else first.
"You....you fucking worthless piece of SHIT!!"
Levi spat at farlan like he was just trash.
"Levi...please just calm down..we can talk things out and be friends like the good old times.."
Farlan said and stood up.
"HOW DO YOU EVEN DARE TO SAY THAT?!" levi hit farlan with his fist and tackled him down.
"Grhh!!"
Levi grabbed a knife from out of his boot.
"Rot in hell...bitch"
He was about to stab farlan, farlan quickly rolled away and they fought together, the knife was slapped out of levi's hand and the knife ended near eren's foot.
He quickly grabbed the knife and stood up.
"EREN GIVE ME THE KNIFE!!!" Levi yelled and choked farlan.
Tears were streaming down farlan's cheeks.
Eren's eyes got teary and he was trembling.
"GIVE. ME. THE. KNIFE!" Levi shouted.

Choose.

Give the knife to farlan

Give the knife to levi.
