A cliché that is way too common is the classic 'short girl can't reach high thing, cute boy gets it for her, they have a moment' thing.
That is utterly ridiculous to me.
I have a dangerous combination of being both short and proud, which means not only will I not ask for help to get something, I also probably won't appreciate you in case you do help me, for the sake of my pride.
When I want something that's too high for me, you best believe I'm going to make use of my surroundings.
The kitchen?
A long utensil.
The storage room?
A box.
The cupboard?
One of the shelves.
The top of the fridge?
A newspaper.
See? Endless possibilities.
And you're telling me that my fellow shortie just kept jumping and stretching for five minutes, completely disregarding everything she learned in all the science classes she's attended in all of her life?
