Jimin let's out a broken sob as he goes through Yoongi's things.

There's a knock on the door that catches Jimin's attention. He mutters a 'come in' as Hoseok steps into the bedroom, his hands behind his back as Jimin wipes away his tears.

"Hey," Jimin croaks out as he runs his thumb over a recent family photo. Yoongi and Jimin standing behind his mother who sits in a chair. Yoongi had his arm around Jimin's waist securely. Jimin remembers him saying he never wanted to let him go that day... because they felt like a complete family.

"I wanted to tell you something about the night it all happened," Hoseok says, sitting on the bed. Jimin sniffles as he stands up from his spot on the ground, he sets the photo down before making his way to sit beside Hoseok on the bed.

Hoseok sits with a hand clasped around a small thing that Jimin's curious about. "I just want to talk, to get clarity and you know... show you something."

Jimin rubs his eyes that probably had more bags under his eyes than Yoongi had of Gucci bags in his closet.

"Why would you go back to Jungkook? After everything? Yoongi gave you everything and you chose to go back to cheating on him."

Jimin's gaze drops. "It's not like it was a reoccurring thing, it was just that one time."

Hoseok tries to bite back his words but he can't. "That one time cost my best friend his life, you know? Have you ever thought about that!" Hoseok yells at Jimin loudly and the boy leans away from Hoseok with wide eyes.

"I think about it everyday, I can't think of anything but the fact that I pushed him over the edge, literally. If I never did what I did, I should have never even went after him. I should've let him cool down," Jimin bursts out into tears and Hoseoks face softens slightly.

"I kept stepping forward and being pushy, he bumped into the railing and when he was gone I felt my whole world plummet to the ground, too," Jimin says and Hoseok pulls Jimin closer, allowing him to lay his head on his shoulder.

"You shouldn't have cheated on him in the first place, you had everything you could have ever wanted."

Jimin closes his eyes as his lip quivers.

"He gave you this nice ass penthouse, unlimited love and support, and gifts. The sex was great, I should know."

Jimin lets out a little scoff at the last part.

"Why go back to that kid who would only give you shit for sleeping with him. That's like some courtesan, hooker shit."

"He was just there, I saw him in the street and he started flirting and I don't know... I flirted back slightly, we came back here but I didn't mean to."

"You can't justify what you've done, Jimin. It was wrong and cost someone their life because you wanted some asshole dick in you.

"I know..."

"There's something else about that night, I know this may crush you even more but I have to tell you."

Jimin sits up, staring at Hoseok with shaky eyes, teeth caught between his lips.

Hoseok opens his hand to reveal a velvet case on his palm. Jimin's eyes travel down to it and he covers his mouth, shaking his head.

"Please, it's not..." his eyes begin to brink with tears because he doesn't want it to be what he thinks it is.

"He got a new suit, to take you out to dinner and propose to you, Jimin."

Jimin begins to cry uncontrollably as he covers his face with his hands.

"He loved you so much," Hoseok says.

Jimin feels like there's cotton in his mouth as he pulls his hands away from his face. Hoseok opens the velvet case and Jimin stares down at the ring. This ring was the one He pointed out to Yoongi before. A month or two back when they were in the mall and there was a jewelry store.

They had walked to the cases and Jimin pointed out a ring that he thought was pretty. Yoongi had told him to try it on for size to see if it fits. Jimin had never thought to see that as a sign he wanted to propose.

"Have it," Hoseok says.

Jimin turns his head to look at Hoseok, his eyes glossy. "What?"

"He would've wanted you to wear it, even after everything he would've wanted you to."

"I can't, not after what I did."

"Jimin, don't think about what happened right now, think about how much you love him, if you even did."

"I did, I do, I love him so much and I miss him."

Hoseok shoves the jewelry box into Jimin's hand.

"Wear it, and cherish this with your life."

Jimin with shaky fingers and glossy eyes, picks the ring up and slips it onto his left hand, the ring fits perfectly on his ring finger.

He wants to be married to yoongi, but it's too late. Now he can only imagine the impossible.

He's never felt so much regret in his life that he lost someone he loves.

All because of his stupidity.

It felt surreal.

Like a bad nightmare.
