if love was just about
holding on to the good memories
and making sure endings worked out right
then that would mean
love is just about the untold wishes and the dreamt kisses in the moonlight
cause i had to fall
to know
that it's not all
roses and chocolates
and 'you-hang-up-firsts'
i had to relive the pain
over and over
to realize
that love
may promise tomorrow
but it cannot promise forever
