As soon as I saw the island, my fist was in the air. I couldn't believe it. I was actually here. At the island no one had been to twice.

Festus circled once, then started down, landing on the shore, right in front of Calypso's makeshift home. It was still daylight, but getting darker quickly. To not scare her, I made Festus wait on the beach while I walked toward her home.

I reached the door and peeked in.

"Calypso?" I whispered. Then I heard it.

Her singing.

I could've just sat in the doorway and listened all day, but I decided against it. I had to see her. I had to show I kept my promise.

I slowly walked in, breathing in the sweet aroma that filled the room. A small table was set in one corner with two chairs on either side of it. A kitchen took up the rest of the space.

I wandered farther in, following the humming. It lead me to a little room in the back.

I almost gasped when I looked in.

There she was, her back to me, sitting on the wooden floor. She seemed to be sewing a shirt. She was dressed in a plain white T-shirt and skinny jeans. Her caramel hair was in a loose braid, with strands going all over the place.

I moved closer, but accidentally bumped into a small chair. It tumbled over as she whipped around clutching a sewing needle.

I raised my hands in front of me. "Hey, Sunshine. I didn't come all the way back here just to be stabbed with a needle."

Her jaw dropped. She just stood there a moment before charging at me.

"You came back!" She exclaimed, touching my face like she didn't believe I was real.

I took her hand in mine and grinned. "I don't break my promises."

I opened my mouth again to speak but was met with her lips against mine. They were soft and gentle and I didn't want the kiss to end.

I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her closer. She pulled her lips away, but stayed close, with our foreheads touching.

"I can't believe you're really here," she whispered. She leaned against my chest and sighed. "You really do care."

I sucked in a hard breath as I remembered. Percy had just left her here on a hollow promise. I didn't. He was going to get a stern talking to when we got home.

Home. The word repeated in my brain for a moment. We were going to go home.

Calypso stepped back and scanned me up and down. "Your clothes are nasty." She glances down at her now-grease stained shirt. She held out her hand. "Give me that."

I pointed at my shirt. "This?"

She rolled her eyes. "Well, duh. It needs to be washed."

I laughed. "Wow just got here and you're already asking me to take my clothes off." I pulled the shirt over my head and held it out.

Her face was red as she grabbed it. "I didn't mean it that way," she giggled. She shook her head as she turned around. "Now go look in the washroom. I kept some of your clothes from last time... just in case."

I nodded and went off to find the washroom. I found it and saw my old clothes hanging from a rack. I grabbed a shirt and threw it on. When I turned back around, she was standing in the doorway, her arms crossed and her face confused.

I glanced down at my clothes. "Is something wrong, Sunshine?"

She smiled, but I saw sadness in her eyes. "No it's just... I don't know if you're real or if I want you to be so badly that I'm imagining all of this."

I stepped forward and cupped her face with my hands. "Well I'm here, and I'm not leaving you. Never again."

Tears formed in her eyes as she looked at me but she wiped them away with the back of her hand. "I'm sure you're hungry. Follow me." She walked toward the kitchen area and I followed.

I sat down at the small table and watched as she fixed some food for the two of us. She made fish and for a side there was two things that resembled potatoes...but were slightly purple.

"What is that?" I asked, poking it. She slapped my hand and answered.

"It's a yam! They grow everywhere on my island," she spoke as she added salt and spices to the fish.

I sat in silence the rest of the time. Finally, she set two plates on the table and sat down opposite of me.

"Eat," she ordered when I started poking at my food with a fork.

I scrunched up my nose and she laughed.

"It's really not bad, I promise," she said. She took a bite and stared at me.

I shrugged and took a bite. It had a strange taste but was good. I must've made a face though, because she saw me and looked worried.

"Is it not good?"

I shook my head. "No- wait I mean yes- it's really good, Calypso."

She nodded, looking satisfied. We ate the rest our meals, talking about what all had happened between the last time seeing each other. I told her about the war and about how I had saved the day but she just shook her head and giggled.

After we finished, she grabbed both of our plates and set them in her sink. Then she took my hand and lead me outside.

We walked until we reached my old camp.

"Woah, i can't believe it's still here," I exclaimed, touching everything in excitement.

She shrugged. "I just couldn't get rid of it." She paused a load roaring came from the beach. She grabbed my arm in fright. "What was that?"

I grinned. "Oh yeah, I guess it's about time for you to meet my dragon."

Her eyes widened. "Did you just say dragon?" She seemed uncertain, but I was already pulling her along.
