The Troublemaker Trio

As she looked at herself in the floor length, silver scallop trimmed mirror, Cameron McCartney wondered what it was about her that never seemed to attract the type of mature, sexy guys that she dreams of.  She was about 5'3", had skin the shade of liquid caramel that covered a curvy, voluptuous build from years of dancing.  Her head ornamented waves of milk chocolate colored hair, but the feature she was most proud of was her unique set of dark cocoa, hazel hued almond-shaped eyes.  Cammie, known as the "ethereal" one of the trio, had an air of innocence that drew people to her like bees to honey, but was never bold enough to really capitalize on situations when it comes to men.  That is where her wing women came in.  

Amongst her best friends and sorority sisters, Lourdes, who was known as the "bombshell" of the group, was about 5'9" with fair, creamy skin that adorned a lean body and striking midnight black hair with streaks of cherry red.  Her most notable trait was her ice blue eyes that, mixed with topaz, were so intriguing they looked like a never ending kaleidoscope.  

Her other best friend and member glue, commonly dubbed the "headstrong" woman between the three of us, is Miss Hailie Jade.  Hailie stands at 5'6", with blemish free beige colored skin, beautiful dirty blonde curls, and eyes the color of the Mediterranean Sea.  Her body has developed a lithe but toned shape from years of volleyball practice.  

Cammie's typical style consisted on alternating between ripped skinny jeans and leggings, paired with sweatshirts and over-denim jackets or laid back crop tops and lounge cover-ups with a beanie or snapback. But the most important accessory to her: shoes.  Shoes make up 90% of a person's outfit and she never left the house with a grunge down pair of shoes on her feet.  Lou, much like her mother, garnered the courage to wear very "out there" wardrobe decisions, mainly consisting of black leather and lace paired with gold studded jewelry.  Hailie was by far the more sophisticated dresser of the group, sticking to tasteful collared or v-neck shirts and pale denim jeans, with the ever flattering wedges and neutral colored blazers.

They were the Troublemaker Trio of the most exclusive sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, at Michigan State University.  The group was comprised of a tomboy, a rebel, and a girly girl.  They were the girl group every guy wanted and every girl wanted to be.  Nothing could tear these three girls apart, for all three have an unbreakable bond from hardships experienced as kids and teenagers.  

Known for throwing the most outrageous rushes, stealing the spotlight at any event on campus, and being notoriously single, they had to exit senior year with a resounding BANG!  The trio made a bet, more like a pack promise...

Graduate with a boyfriend.

'Just my luck', Cammie thought.  She hasn't had a stable boyfriend since her freshman year and after what he did to her and her trust, she never really ventured out to find another one since.  To get the ball rolling, Hailie and Lou decided that she needed a night out on the town in Rochester, starting with visiting her dad's 'Mom's Spaghetti' event in Detroit before hitting the clubs.

Yes, they were taking her to an Eminem meet and greet.  And her palms were sweating with that thought. 

Even though she was best friends with his daughter, she hasn't really met the elusive rap star since moving to Michigan a year and a half ago.  Glimpses at birthday parties didn't count.

Hailie and Lou know how much it means for Cammie to meet Eminem, as his music is what got her through a lot of hardships growing up in Chitown.  She wouldn't admit it to anyone and played it off as not really finding him relatively attractive, but Cammie often dreamt of him as a downright DILF at the age of 45.

His new album, REVIVAL, dropped on December 15th, just last week, and she was already obsessed with it.  Mostly with the tracks Believe, Chloraseptic, and River (ft. Ed Sheeran).

 "Yo, are ready yet girl?  You've been standing in the same spot with that blank look on your face for the last 20 minutes!" said Lou.  "You now you look smokin', now move over bitch and quit hogging the damn mirror."

She just laughed at her and walked off to find Hailie while Lou touched up her outfit, which was made up of a black lace top with leather pants and calf high boots, finished with a leather jacket and a bright red clutch.  

Speak of the devil and thou shall appear...

"READY!!!" we hear down the hall as Hailie steps out with her arms thrown in the air.  She's donning a white and navy stripped body hugging dress and brown ankle heels with a matching brown trench coat.

"No," Cameron states rather bluntly.  "I look terrible and I feel like a fat hooker that no one wants to touch but has to because all the other pretty hookers are taken."

"What?!  You look sexy, mamma cita!" exclaims Lou, "And I picked your outfit, by the way- I don't wanna hear another negative comment on it, ya her?" She gives me the pinky point stink eye.

I look down at what I'm wearing, a cute white RUN DMC crop top that ties right under my sternum, hip high black shear panty hose underneath ripped booty shorts, matched with though high black boot heels and finished off with a black denim jacket lined with blue fur.

Hm, I guess she's right.  I do look like a walking sex magnet.

"Yeah, I mean I guess you have excellent taste in my clothes," I say, winking and smiling at her.  

"Damn right I do, sista, and don't forget it!"

"We all look fiiiiiine as hell!  I can't wait for clubs..." Lou and I start ranting about boys and booze.

Hailie claps her hands together, "Alright ladies, who's ready to get their weekend mooch and grind oooooooon!?!?"

"WHOOP WHOOP!!!" we all cheer together, heading out of our downtown apartment in East Lansing and making our way down to Hailie's 2016 Mustang for our drive to Detroit, blasting jams the whole way down.

This is the night that will change Cameron McCartney's life forever.
