Melissa could barely breathe. Looking at Daniel in that gorgeous blue shirt, seeing a hint of his chest beneath made her realised how attracted to him she really was. Melissa took a deep breath, trying to stay calm enough to give Daniel a smile.
"You look stunning Melissa" Daniel grinned, looking her up and down. Melissa suddenly felt shy, glad she had matched him by wearing a casual outfit but feeling she failed in comparison to his marvelous good looks.
"Thank you" Melissa managed to get out.
"Shall we go" Daniel replied, being extremely polite despite Melissa's obvious nervous behaviour.
"Where exactly are you taking me" Melissa demanded, feeling slightly more confident now that she was leaving with Daniel.
"I am taking you out for dinner, but you will have to wait and see where exactly I am taking you" he grinned.
Melissa and Daniel headed out the door, Melissa feeling overwhelmed at how close Daniel was to her, his hand lingering on her waist.

The ride to the restaurant was different than most times she had spent in a car with Daniel. This time he was polite, asking her about her day and how she came to work at Bridgewaters. She felt more at ease with Daniel now, their conversation flowing freely as they talked about eachothers jobs and lives, the only thopic they avoided was past relationships. When they arrived at the restaurant, Melissa's heart dropped. The name of the restaurant was cuisine, the place where Ramona had told her, Daniel took all his girlfriends. Daniel turned to Melissa, pulling up to the restaurant with a huge grin on his face, apparently proud of the restaurant he had chosen, Melissa thought he must of had many successful dates here.
Daniel looked dissappointed when he saw the neutral look on Melissa's face. "I had to talk to a lot of people to get us a reservation here, it's the most popular harbour restaurant" he told her. Melissa felt bad that she had let Daniel see her dissapointment. She decided she would forget about Daniels past and focus on thier date, the restaurant was beautiful after all. The walked into the restaurant together, Daniel opening the car door for Melissa, as per usual. They got seated straight away and Melissa began to feel nervous as for the first time, she was sitting directly in front of Daniel, his eyes meeting hers. She felt like Daniel could read everything about her, just by looking into her eyes.
