At last the police came in. They asked us in maths what had happened. We showed them the problem. They set a team of 7 mathematicians on the case. They asked us about it. We all said we'd purposefully avoided the question. They stayed all day. They stayed all night. We watched. They tried and they tried. They wrote and they wrote. They checked and they checked. They screamed and they screamed. We went home. In the morning we got into class. We saw them all in a bath of bleach. There was blood coming out of their mouths. On the side we saw a note. We looked on the note. "It's a typo. A typo has killed us all". They had been killed by a typo.
The policemen had worked it out. The algebra couldn't eat anymore. The typo was revealed.
There would be no more algebra deaths.
