Ash laughed, more like giggled. She ran her fingers through Robbie's thick black hair, his fingers were up under her shirt, snaking around her waist. They were in bed, it was 4 am, they're favorite time to have late night conversations. They had just gotten up, both of them unable to sleep any longer. Ash's hair was a mess, but thankfully out of the way, its dark brown locks unseen in the little light given off by the warm glow of the fairy lights above their headboard.
"Robbie, when does your flight leave?" Ash said enjoying the feeling of his cold hands on her back.
Robbie settled his head on the crook of her neck,"7:30 am..." He let out a breathy laugh,"That's plenty of time for you to say good-bye, love."
Ash pulled herself closer to him,"No matter how many times you call me 'love' it's not gonna stick." she said sighing into his chest,"You're such a hopeless romantic.." Ash murmured to him, her voice trailing at the end.
Robbie let out a soft laugh,"You're one to talk." She hit his arm at that.
"Wow! You are SO rude!" She strained not to laugh, and retained a face of mock anger,"I don't know how I put up with you!" Ash said pushing Robbie away, but this only made him hold on tighter.
"I don't understand why you can't come with me Ashie." He said faux pouting, and ignoring her mocking.
Ash laughed,"Because you need to actually work, so you can help support us, I don't wanna be doing all the work," She said mischief and humor dancing in her dark gaze,"Besides what if we wanna have an addition to us..." She said her tone growing serious.
Robbie stiffened,"Like what?" he said pretending to act clueless.
Ash tried to not burst with laughter,"Like a dog." She said trying to still be serious.
Robbie was silent for awhile,"Ash I fucking hate you." She laughed really loudly and kissed his cheek,"But you know what they say, it's a thin line between love and hate. And I really do fucking love you." he kissed her neck as she laughed on holding him tightly. They spent the rest of the while murmuring sweet nothings to each other.

Ash's eyes shot open, her cheeks were slick with tears. She felt the empty space next to her, she checked the clock next to her bed. It read 4 am, her mother had sent her a text about seven hours ago. She opened up the text, Text me when you wake up, Robbie's parents are flying in soon for his funeral, they're staying with me and your dad. I love you Ashie.
Ash felt herself start to howl with pain, tears fell fast, she fell weakly into her mattress.
