Suzy and Arin stood at the end of the hospital bed hand in hand with sad relief on their faces. Before I knew it I was smothered with hugs from both, and Suzy began to cry.
"Awe Suz it's okay, I'm alright," I ran my fingers through the blonde portion of her hair, "I'm not even in that much pain, you know I'm a quick healer. I give it a month for the cuts and bruises along with the sprained ankle, of course the bones might take more time than that." I tried to keep lighthearted and positive even though I was in a lot of pain with the weight of Suzy on me.
"I'm so sorry (Y/N)! If I had known," Suzy began to sob again and Arin pulled her off of me gently. Thank goodness.
He placed her onto the chair nearby and smiled at me, "Well now that we know you're okay, we brought one of our friends! Well more like he wouldn't let us leave without him," I gave Arin a quizzical look, "Danny you can come in here now!"
A tall and lanky man walked in with wild brown curls. He had a gentle smile on his face and it made me blush. He was very attractive and I wanted to punch Arin for letting him see me in this state.
"I'm glad you're okay! I can tell you mean a lot to Arin and Suzy," Dan walked over to the bed and picked up my hand and gave it a kiss, "It's nice to meet you."
"Uh-I um," I stammered and cleared my voice, "Its nice to meet you too Danny, I'm (Y/N)."
"I knew you two would get along!" Arin said with a huge smile on his face. Suzy was much more calm now and kept staring at me, making me blush from all of the attention.
I was about to ask when I could be discharged when the doctor came in and checked my vitals and clipboard.
"(L/N)?" He addressed me and I nodded, "Well it seems you'll be okay to be discharged in a few days. We recommend that you stay with a friend and you should try to avoid going up and down stairs. You have some stitches in your stomach and it's best not to move much. Hopefully your bedroom is on a first floor!" He joked and I thought about the stairs I climb every night to go to bed, "I talked to your friends here already and they got you're perceptions. Just your standard pain medications, nausea pills, a little something for inflammation."
With that he walked out and I just looked at Arin for help. He knew my bedroom was on the second floor but he also knew that their spare bedroom was on their second floor. There was a long pause until Suzy spoke up, "Danny would it be okay if (Y/N) stayed with you until she at least allowed on their feet again."
I looked to Danny, to my surprise he was already looking at me. I blushed a little but maintained eye contact. If I wasn't wrong it looked like he was blushing a little too.
"Yeah Suz that's no problem, I knew my one floor apartment would be useful one day!"
"It would be more useful if you actually slept there sometimes too Dan." Arin raised an eyebrow towards the other man. I wasn't really sure about what he meant by that but I just waved it off.
"As long as you're okay with it, I know we just met..." he trailed off and gave me a sheepish smile. It was an amazing smile. I don't think I'll have any problem staying with him.
"I'm okay with it, anything is better than the hospital if I'm honest."
Before my entire family died, I spent a week in a hospital by my mothers bedside. She was the only one who had survived the car crash, my dad and brother died on impact. That week was the worst week in my life, we all knew she was going to die and there was nothing to do. I remember my aunt showing up at some point to take custody of me and the rest is a blur. So hospitals make me uncomfortable and if I can spend the least amount of time in them the better.

~time skip to a week later~

The release papers had been signed and I was changing in the bathroom in my room. Suzy has brought me a change of clothes and I was forever grateful. I pulled on some joggers and a light crop top, I'm glad Suz went for comfort instead of style.
But there was one problem, I had managed to leave the crop top on the bed. And I wasn't wearing a bra because you know comfort. I peeked my head through the door and see no one and the curtain is closed. This shouldn't go bad.
I take one step out and run straight into someone. Large calloused hands wrap around me and I look up to see and a curly mass of hair. Oh no, no no, I ran into Dan. MY TITS ARE OUT!
"I'm so sorry! I uh-," Danny stammered and fidgeted, " I'm going to close my eyes and let go," and he did just that. Heat was running up and down my body, I'm so embarrassed.
I pull my crop top on and clear my voice, " Um you can open your eyes now... I have a shirt on," Dans eyes opened and looked me up and down, lingering at my exposed stomach for a few seconds.
"We're ready when you are," Danny said quietly and left. I followed soon after.
We got into Dan's car and he drove me over to his apartment, while Suzy and Arin grabbed a few things I would need from my house.
Dan had the radio on and it was playing some Nevada song, I couldn't really focus on the lyrics because I was in my own head. I was wondering how this next month would go, I haven't known Dan very long but I was going to be living with him.
While I was still the hospital Dan would come by every now and then, we discovered we had a few things in common. We loved the same type of music, we enjoyed singing, playing video games, and we both deeply hated scary shit. I also learned that Dan was Jewish, that explained the jewfro. He also told me he was in a band called Ninja Sex Party, the fan base called him Danny Sexbang. I thought it was pretty amusing...
