Christmas 2013

It's Christmas morning, and this time we chose to spend it at home instead of where we were last year. And even though it was Christmas morning, I was still too tired to get up and decided to sleep in just a bit. Ted was laying there, watching me sleep for a bit with a smile before deciding to carefully move and goes to make some breakfast. As he does that, in my sleep I end up grabbing his pillow and snuggling into it since he wasn't there at the moment. Since we would be eating a lot later, he made something light so it didn't take him long. Once he's done, he makes his way back to the bedroom, chuckling when he sees me snuggling his pillow. He makes his way to the bed, setting the food on the night stand then moving the pillow from my arms and snuggling with me. I groan in protest as he moves the pillow, but settle back down once his arms are around me. It isn't until a little bit after that when I woke up. And he knew because I was burying my face in his neck. "Merry Christmas love." He kisses the top of my head. "Christmas morning already?" I mumble. "It is." He nods. "The night went by quicker than I thought."

"That means you got a good nights sleep."

"I can definitely feel it."

"That's a good thing. Something you needed."

"Right." I nod. "I made you breakfast."

"Oh? That's sweet of you."

"You know I love cooking for you whenever I can."

"As do I."

"Of course."

"Should probably eat it before it gets cold though."

"That would be good." I move from his arms and sit up, and he grabs the food off of the nightstand and hands it to me. "Something light since we'll be eating a lot more later."

"Which is why I chose something small."

"Right." I nod. I then start to eat, it tasting amazing. It's so good that I don't talk, I just eat, sharing some with him of course. Once I'm done, he takes the plate and sets it to the side. "As always, it was all good."

"I could tell." He chuckles. "So, when do I get my gifts?" I ask eagerly. "You will...eventually."

"You're gonna make me wait longer....aren't you?"

"I might." He grins. "You so are."

"You'll get them soon. Don't worry."

"If I have to wait, then you have to wait."

"I'll be able to deal with that."

"One of the gifts though you'll have to wait until tonight when everything is over and the family is gone though. I may have gone out with Vi weeks back and got something special."

"Oh? Can't I see it now?"

"That would ruin the surprise silly."

"Awwww." He pouts. "You'll live. I'll give you a hint though. I'll be wearing it to bed tonight."

"Not for long, if I have it my way." He grins. "We'll see."

"That we will."

"I do believe that Riggs found his gift under the tree though." I laugh as I point over to him, chewing away at a bone. "He did." Ted laughs. "I was wondering what he was doing when I was making breakfast."

"He found a way to keep himself busy."

"It seems so."

"Surprised he hasn't found the bag of treats I got him yet."

"I'm sure he will. It's a matter of time."

"So, we're just gonna lay in bed all morning?"

"It's up to you. We can do what ever you want."
