After cleaning up the mess that those kids left I headed back towards my car. My  car was my proud and joy. She was a little older and had some blemishes, but I bought her by myself with my money. She was a 2001 Nissan Maxima that was painted in a gold color. I call her Delilah.

I was walking to her when I saw Day crossing the road, not paying attention per usual. There was a car rushing towards her. I ran and tackled her out of the way just in time. I could feel both of our hearts racing. I almost didn't make in time to help her. Suddenly I felt a spike of fear run through me. I know it wasn't mine so it must be Lilly's.

"Lilly! Are you ok? What just happened, are you hurt?

"A car almost hit me,"  she responded as I looked down at Day, my breathing still coming out rapidly.

I looked down at Day, confused and frightened and then overjoyed, "Lilly?" Then in my head, "Lilly Day?"

"C- Cole Br-Bradford?" shock struck me hard. How is this possible? I knew there was a chance that I'd meet her, but i never thought I would. She scrambled away from me and stood up. "No this isn't possible. You aren't real," she said. "You're just a voice in my head."

"Lilly, you need to calm down and come with me. People are starting to come over and we need to figure this out." She still looked pretty freaked out and hadn't moved yet.  I grabbed her hand and felt her calm down a little bit. I pulled her towards my baby and opened the door for her. I could see her hands shaking so I saved her the struggle and buckled her seat belt.  I gently closed her door and ran to the other side of the car. I quickly buckled and put the key in the ignition. I stole a glance at Lilly and couldn't help but smile to myself. Here she was. She seemed calmer. Wait... was she just sniffing my car? I couldn't help but smirk at that. She liked the way I smell, good.

"I never thought I would get to meet you, at least not so soon. How did you end up in Highlandville? I thought you were going to Milton farther north. I can't believe you are actually here. I always thought my mom was just making up the what happened. Wait what did your mom tell you?" I looked at her as I stopped at a red light. I know I'm bombarding her with questions, but I can't help it.

"Wh-what are you talking about Cole?" I know I haven't talked a lot about my family to her, because I didn't know what she knew about her, about us.

"Your mom never told you anything?" I asked, feeling confused and disappointed. I saw her face and sighed. "My mom and I thought your mom would have told you by now. I'm sure your mom told you that she grew up here, right? Well, your family has lived here for generations, just like mine. Actually our families have been here since the town was founded over 200 hundred years ago. Our moms went to school together and were best friends. The thing is they were more than just best friends. They were..."

"Witches,"  Lilly said. So she did know something!

"Yes Lilly bud," I said glancing at her before turning back to the road. "I think you need to talk to my mom."

After a few more minutes, we pull into my driveway, it wasn't much but it was my home. It was painted a teal blue with a bay window on the second floor. The house had wide windows and had a wrap around balcony. There was wind chimes and bird feeders hanging on the porch. There was a flower bed running against both sides of the house with bright flowers blowing gently in the breeze. When she finally tore my gaze from the house and looked over, I was grinning at her.

"Come on, my mom is waiting for me," I said as I grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the white door.

I unlocked the door and walked in, called out, "Mom I'm home and I have someone I want you to meet!"
