The Tales of Oceanus

Personal log of admiral Dan Watson 748 NC 29th of Newtide

When the fleet arrived back at the main space port of Oceanus they were apparently planning of modifying our ships to a more multi-purpose vessel. They wanted to increase the size of the ships and add room for soldiers and ground vehicles. It also seems as if the Eternity, after it was repaired, discovered an entirely new civilization in the Omega system. They call themselves The Sovereignty of Kamok after the last name of their royal bloodline. The leaders need our fleet to make first contact with them and show them the power of Oceanus, this is also why the ships need to be made bigger and more impressive. The increasing of the size of the ships will take roughly 5 days which we will be spending in the spaceport. I have not received any details on the way we have to make first contact but I trust the Leaders that they will make a fitting decision. Of course as any good admiral would do I asked the engineers that were to expand the ship if they could give me a copy of the blueprints and plans which would apply to the new model. I will add these plans to this log so I will not lose them when I need them later.

Weaponry of ground vehicles and ground forces,

Tanks: armed with a lighter version of the coil gun mounted on the spaceships and stun and ballistic weapons to combat large groups of infantry.

AAV: armed with a slightly smaller gun than the tanks but with higher rate of fire, also serves a secondary artillery role with some "primitive" HE shells

Infantry: armed with stun and ballistic weapons similar to those mounted on the tanks. They also have access to lighter ground vehicles with small coil guns.

Dropships: armed with a ballistic chain gun and energy repeaters which launch plasma projectiles at the enemy. Each ship has a big cargo hold which is capable of carrying at least 16 soldiers and their gear. Each ships also has a pair of rear hooks in order to transport 4 infantry support vehicles like APC's, 1 tank or 2 AAV's per ship.

Every soldier, ground vehicle and dropship is equipped with a shield which can protect the wearer from energy weapons and solid projectiles.

The harmony class warship will be changed in order to carry and transport at least 40 dropships, 40 tanks, 35 AAV's, 640 infantry forces, 100 marine forces and 150 crew members for the armored vehicles. An area for 200 mechanics for the ground vehicles and dropships will also be added. The new total dimensions will be 700 meters, long, 400 meters wide, 40 meters high.
