Hey readers! Before and after chapters I may step in! I'm Evangeline Hisahoshi! I'm the author! I'm just going to say I'm a Mutsumi fangirl and that I made up the name of the highschool and class numbers because Wiki failed me. So here's we go! Chapter One!

You fumbled to get in the new school uniform. Everything was so different in Japan! The somewhat skimpy school uniforms, the busy streets with people who walk everywhere, the way you have to apply To highschool like a job, everything was so new!

You fixed the little skirt on your freshman uniform. Here you were, a fourteen year old hitting fifteen soon going to a new school in Japan! How great was this?! You waved Mom and Dad goodbye as you left your house and walked to the school you were sent to. It was huge! The white front made you grin.

You didn't know anybody but you studied up really hard on your Japanese To get here so you hoped it would be worth it! You heard the school system is severely different but it wasnt a big deal, right? Just like boarding school or Catholic school back in good ol 'Merica.

You look for the correct class. You were supposed to go to class 1-C, wherever that was. You looked around in the first floor, since that's what the one meant, and found room C. You smiled and walked in. You caught the attention of many students instatnly. You had the paper in your hand saying the room. The Teacher looks over at you and waves you over. He asks you to wait outside so he can formerly introduce you when the whole class arrived. You nodded and thanked him in the native tongue.

As you waited outside the door you saw a many variety of students pass by and few entered the freshman level room. You start tapping the wall in tune to an American Musical you knew. Let's just say you were a History Nerd. You glance over and see someone in a Sophmore uniform. His dark chocolate eyes meet yours and you see him give a kind smile. He stood to chat with you.

All dialogue will be written in English since I don't know japanese myself. I will try to use japanese phrases I know but know that this is all in Japanese. Think of it like a dub?

"Hello, are you a new student?"

"Yep! Watashi Wa (Your name) (Last Name)! It's a pleasure!"

He smiled kindly. He took your stuck out hand and shook it. His smile was warm, it was nice. A welcome contrast to the looks you got form the other freshman when you walked in. He let go of your hand. You didn't know him, but you wished he didnt. His Milk Chocolate Hair was coverings the corners of his slanted eyes. It would normally make someone look Meant but it made this boy look kinder.

"Watashi Wa Asuma Mutsumi. I run the History Club and I'm in Class 2-B. I hope to see you again, (Last name)-Chan."

Your heart skipped a beat. He turned and left for his class. You stood out there a moment before  bell rang to signify the begining of the Day. You could Hear the students inside doing the 'stand bow' thing before you could hear the Sensei's voice through the room. Was this your cue? Yeah.

"Class, we have a transfer student today. She's from America so if she takes a while to grow accustomed to our cultures, don't make fun."

Wow, this teacher got straight to the point. You composed yourself and walked into the room. You took a nice even breath and met with a group of twenty pairs of eyes. You smiled and let your hair run it's own natural path.

"Konichiwa! Watashi Wa (Your Name) (Last Name)! I'm from America but as you can see I speak Japanese perfectly fine! I hope we can't become friends!"

The teacher smiled at your Optimus and pointed to a desk in the back right corner of the room and asked you to sit there. You had quite a few glares from the students. Some friendly looks, but mostly spiteful glares. Did you do something wrong?

Class was a breeze so far. Since you studied Japanese instead of Spanish back in America you had no trouble keeping up. The math was easier than your previous program and the science was everything you knew. Language and Literature came naturally to you. The only thing was the History was entirely different. You loved History so you just needed to focus more on it. You got Into American History easy, how hard was Japanese History? Of course, you had your favorite musical as help, but it still was your best subject!

That boy from earlier, the Sophmore, he said he ran the History Club. It was your lunch break so maybe you could find him? Were you even allowed to leave the room? You didn't know. The students all already despised you for something reason so you can't ask them. The teacher isn't thin the room now. Better safe than sorry. You didn't leave and just ate the lunch you packed for yourself.

When the teacher came back in class was back in session. You learned the rest of your lessons for the day. School ended with the traditional 'stand bow' thing as students flooded out of there. Sensei was at his desk so you walked up to him.

"Ummm...Sensei? I heard there was a History Club? Where can I find it?"

He smiled kindly. He was patient with you.

"They hold meeting after school in this room, actually. I can talk to the president if you want to join them."

"Really?! Arigatou!"

You bowed and he chuckled. He watched as the boy from earlier walked in to see you beaming. You grinned at him. What was his name? Asuma Mutsumi? People in Japan call eachother by their last names unless they have a strong bond plus they use a suffix like he used earlier. Chan. You can't call him chan because it's a female suffix exclusive. Burn with his demeanor, kun wouldn't feel right... Hmm...Senpai? Senpai meant someone you look up to, And he is a Sophomore. Wait, they don't call it Sophomore in Japan, he's a second year.

"Konichiwa again, Mutsumi-Senpai! Can I join the History Club?"

He looked at you with surprise. You did take a full thirty seconds pondering what to call him. He just smiled that warm smile of his again before replying. Sensei just watched.

"Oh, (Last Name)-Chan. Of course! I didn't know you had a passion for history."

"See, I was good at it back home but when I got here I realized I ddint know anything! So I need to learn more and this club is the perfect way to do so!"

You had a glint of fore in your eye as Sensei chuckled. Mutsumi-senpai was just confused about your "home" thing. He turned to Sensei.

"She's an transfer student from America."

"America? Fascinating. They have an entirely different History than us so it's understandable she wants to try and learn more about Japanese History and Culture. We'd  love to have you."

He beamed a warm smile at you causing your heart to go doki doki. His grin was highly contagious and you found yourself catching the symptoms of curling corners of your lips gradually before the smile was futile.

Sensei watched the door slide open as three more members walked in. Two of them weren't very prominant but one of them was a really big girl with purple hair. She must get teased and look so different here, but back home girls like her were the majority so it wasnt a big deal To you seeing her. The two other members gave eachother sideways glances. The girl spoke up.

"Mutsumi-Senpai, who's this?"

"Ah, Serinuma-San, this is (Last name)-Chan. She will Be joining us from now on."

"Wow! Super!"

She held a book in her hands. It was hidden but still you saw the title. It flashed boy's love. Okay so Fujioshis were inevitable in Japan. Apparently your freind was right. The two boys sighed And walked over. You set up the table and you all worked together with Sensei's supervision.

This is how everyhting was for your first year. You would be the outcast and genius in class, you'd work hard in the History Club, and you became great freinds with Serinuma and Mutsumi. Serinuma would visit you during break while Mutsumi would always not arrive a little early to talk with you before History Club. You developed a huge crush on Mutsumi, but you'd never tell. Everything changed the next year...

So! How was the first chapter? Just an intro and insight to your first day and how you met Mutsumi and Serinuma. Thanks for reading! I love you!
