Before I start this story, I would like to clarify something.
So in this book Sub, is mute. If you don't what is then here is some info:
Mute: Muteness or mutism is an inability to speak, often caused by a speech disorder, hearing loss, or surgery. Someone who is mute may be so due to the unwillingness to speak in certain social situations.
Mute people who can't speak at all are because they are missing vocal cords so they can't speak anything at all. They can laugh but they either have no sound or a little sound coming from them. Sounds more like wheezing but you can still tell they are laughing because of body motion. Mutes can make noise when they cough and sneeze.
Now, people who are mute because they don't want to speak or just refuse to is a whole different story.
So in this story, Sub is mute that can't speak at all.
