(Y/N) = Your name
(H/C) = Hair/fur color
(E/C) = Eye color
(Y/N) slowly opened his sleepy eyes, light drafting into his bedroom through his parted curtains. Yawning, he sat up, grabbing his phone off the nightstand. It read 9:50. Hefting himself off the bed, (Y/N) shuffled to the bathroom, squinting his eyes against the bright lights when he flipped on the switch. He stared at himself in the mirror for a few moments, scoffing a little at himself. His sleepy (E/C) eyes were partially shielded by short (H/C) bangs and of course his neko ears to match. His hair was always messy, especially in the mornings. (Y/N) grabbed his hairbrush and combed out his knots while subconsciously clacking his long nails against the counter. When his hair had smoothed out (smoothed enough, anyways), (Y/N) moved to his toothbrush, squeezed some toothpaste from its tube, and brushed his teeth. After about 2 minutes, he spat it into the sink, making sure to brush his tongue as well. When he was done, (Y/N) turned and walked out of the bathroom, turning off the light after him.
(Y/N) returned to the bedroom to open a drawer, pulling out a random pair of jeans and a hoodie without really looking at them and threw them on. When that was done, (Y/N) grabbed his favorite beanie before pulling it over his head, making sure it concealed his ears. He did the same with his tail, wrapping it around his body under his hoodie to keep it out of sight. Thankfully, he had baggy clothes so his tail was easier to hide. Not really having a plan in mind, (Y/N) headed out the door, making sure he had his keys, Hunters license, and phone in his pockets.
(Y/N) had almost reached the elevator when he sensed something strange. Turning around briskly, he realized there was a strange scent in the air. One that smelled of... rubber? He immediately shook his head, dismissing the silly thought. But nonetheless, there was something off. It was a scent he didn't recognize, so he decided to investigate. Following the scent with his nose, (Y/N) turned a corner before he discovered the source. He felt his insides turn to ice when he saw the clown. It was Hisoka.
(Y/N) wondered if he could somehow escape without Hisoka noticing him. But he was frozen into place, fear racking his body. He had seen the jester's match last night. Hisoka was a dangerous man, much more skilled than (Y/N) was. What was he doing standing in the middle of the hallway on Floor 180, anyways? Calming down a little, (Y/N) regained control over his body and slowly backed away. Whatever Hisoka was doing here, it was none of his business, right? Fortunately, he had managed to slip away unnoticed.
The moment (Y/N) turned back around the corner, he nearly sprinted toward the elevator. His hidden ears were pressed flat against his head as the elevator took him to the lobby at an painfully slow rate. The moment the elevator chimed announcing it reached its destination, (Y/N) burst through the elevator door and into the lobby. Thankfully, not many people were there. Relaxing, (Y/N) headed out the door, the encounter still fresh in his mind. Taking a few deep breaths, (Y/N) walked along the sidewalk a bit before deciding to stop by his favorite coffee shop for brunch. He walked in its general direction, as he had memorized the directions there, and it only took a few minutes to reach it. However, as he neared the little shop, he realized the lights inside were off. Furrowing his brow, (Y/N) headed closer to the shop, deciding to investigate. He walked right up to the door to find that there was a sign taped to the front.
'The shop will be closed today due to current family events. Sorry for the inconvenience!'
(Y/N) put a hand up to the glass door, sighing in disappointment. There goes my coffee for the morning, he thought glumly. Whatever. Maybe I'll make a sandwich or something. (Y/N) turned away from the shop, still disappointed. He walked away, turning back to the sidewalk when he saw a glimpse of red off to his left. Glancing back, he saw it belonged to one of the passerby on the sidewalk. Someone with red hair. That face... OH NO.
Hisoka was right there.
Walking straight towards him.
(Y/N) Sweated nervously as Hisoka approached to his left. Maybe Hisoka didn't know he was there. Maybe he just wants to go buy a donut or something and doesn't want anything to do with (Y/N). Maybe. Trying to keep cool, (Y/N) walked straight ahead, hoping that Hisoka will just pass him on the left. That clown just killed a man yesterday. (Y/N) did NOT want Hisoka to notice him. Not at all.
They're getting closer to eachother.
(Y/N) was nearly side by side with Hisoka.
Bump.
SHIT.
(Y/N) accidentally bumped into Hisoka's shoulder. He quickly whirled around to face Hisoka's glittery yellow eyes.
"A-Ah.. I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you.." (Y/N) quickly blurted, immediately hating himself for how stupid he sounded a moment later.
A creepy grin spread across Hisoka's pale face that send shivers down (Y/N)'s spine. Without a word, he continued to walk away. (Y/N) quickly turned around. But Hisoka was gone.
