My beautiful sweetheart,
I am beyond excited to hear that news. I guess our engagement night created our future. I can not wait to come home and marry you and be with our child. I hope for a boy, but I would not mind a little girl either. I will love our child as I love you, forever. I told my platoon about your news and they were very excited for me, for us, we're getting a few drinks at a local bar in town tonight before we ship out to a new destination. These men have become like brothers to me and I can not wait for you to meet them. I know we will all come home together. My new friend Freddie is dying to get home to his girl and propose to her. He even bought a ring last week while we were in the south of France. It looks beautiful, almost as beautiful as yours. I think you would like his girl too, I hear stories that remind me of our younger years. His stories make me laugh and I tell him some of ours and make him laugh as well. Another boy in my platoon, only eighteen, his name is Lucas. He has chimed in with some stories of his own about his wife. Already married at only eighteen, but I guess they were afraid if they were not married before he left they would never get their chance. I promise I will come home and we will get our chance. I love you so much. I can not wait to see you and our baby, boy... or girl.
Your Fiance,
Beckett Oliver
