Edward Kaspbrak exhaled a shaky sigh as he shut the car door of his small red tinted convertible. He tossed his bag over to the passenger seat and nervously put his hand on the wheel and key on the injection, giving it a slight turn before starting the car. He looked cautiously through the side mirror attached to his car, making sure there wasn't anyone was going by so he could leave. There was no one so he jerked the joystick of his car slightly, putting it in reverse, slowly pushed down the gas sightly and drove the car down his driveway.

As he drove he looked around at his new neighborhood, examining it with his chocolate brown doe eyes.
He studied how beautiful the neighborhood actually was, since he hadn't when he had moved in about a week prior. He was too busy unpacking to actually stop and take a look at the small town. He had recently moved because his father had gotten a job down there in Derry,Maine. Eddie wasn't really effected by the move, other than the fact that he had to start attending public school, which he wasn't too fazed about.

He had been home schooled all of his life before this and was anxious about the fact that he had to have social contact everyday. But the councilor that he had been seeing to to help with his anxiety and what-not had suggested he start attending public school to help with his social anxiety and slightly depressed state. He had only agreed because he had wanted to experience what it was like to have friends and have to walk to all of his classes and basically have relationships other than the one he had with his mother and father.

He wasn't,however, excited to be sharing the same space with hundreds of high schoolers because he will have a higher chance of getting sick or getting any type of bug(lice, ringworm, ect.) and because he had read in a magazine that more than 60% of children in middle school and high school don't wash their hands after using the restroom,he was having second thoughts. He was descusted to say the least. But he would have to deal with it,even if it was only for a couple years.

Eddie arrived at his new school at around 9:00 am. He didn't live too far from the school, but far enough that he was glad he didn't decide to walk. Once he grabbed his bag out of his small-ish car, quickly remembering he had put his coat in his back seat and reached for it,before putting it on and grinning softly,he started to walk to the front of the school. It wasn't the best looking school, but it wasn't the worst he had seen. He hadn't seen many schools, but this was one of the better ones he had seen. It had a bit of garbage around and some graffiti here and there, but besides that it wasn't too bad.

Eddie walked into the doors, feeling the warmth from inside the school cover him as he looked around. It was pretty cold outside,so there was a major difference between the temperature from outside and inside. The inside was basically like the outside,it was welcoming but also a little trashed. He went up to what he presumed to be the front office and told him who he was and that he was new and such. The lady working at the desk nodded before smiling and handing him his schedule along with his locker. Combination. She told him he was going to get shown around the school by someone from one their leadership classes so he could wait in one of the seats for them to arrive. He smiled warmingly, thanking her, before sitting down in a seat closest to the wall where the two walls meet(basically a corner)
Eddie had sat there for about five minutes before he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He whipped around quickly, meeting eyes with a teenage boy around his age. He had darkish brown hair with a red and black flannel and black skinny jeans and some black and white high top converse to top it off. He had a warm, welcoming smile on his face, which made Eddie smile attentively back at.

"You're E-Edward Kaspbrak right? I'm here to sh-show you around." The boy spoke, a small stutter apparent when he talked. "Oh yeah. That's me.." Eddie responded, giving a dimpled smile once more. "Okay well, I'm B-Bill" he said, reaching his arm out to have Eddie shake. Eddie hesitantly shook his hand, nodding slightly at what Bill had said.
"Okay w-we should get going I g-guess..." he spoke anxiously,  retreating his hand slowly and looking at Eddie for any sign of confirmation. Eddie nodded again, grabbing his bag and pulling the straps over his arms. Bill started out of the office room, turning back to make sure Eddie was following.
