Eddie sighed as he started to walk down the hallway to the doors at the front of Derry High, his new least favorite place. He gripped onto his backpack straps tighter and he hustled quickly to get out of the stamped of students.
As soon as he stepped one sneaker covered foot out of the school, he looked over to see Bill, his newly became friend, and he started talking. "Hey Eddie, y-you ready to head o-over to my place?" He spoke, looking over at Eddie. "Uh, yeah. I just need to head home to get some stuff and I'll be right over." Eddie offered a small, shy smile up at the stuttering teen, in which Bill returned.
"Okay, just call me when you're ready and I'll give you the address." Bill responded as he walked away, presumably to go find the 5 other people he invited to come stay over. Eddie started on his way, looking down at his shoes as he did so. He decided to walk today since it was supposed to be a nice day outside that day and he just didn't feel like driving that morning. As he drifted into his thought, couldn't think straight. He stepped one foot in front of the other, his thoughts clouded by one specific boy he saw in home ec.
                               ♡
He was in home economics, his second day actually. He sat in the back, not having any other desk to sit at due to being late, which was caused by having troubles with his locker. He sighed heavily, before taking out his things and rushing to copy down the things on the board in front of him. He looked over to the boy next to him. The boy had dark, curly, pitch black, hair that went slightly past his ears. It kinda reminded Eddie of a mop, with how it looked, how it looked like it hadn't seen a brush in years. He also had big, bulky glasses that slightly evened out how absolutely utterly gorgeous he was. Eddie wished he could stare at the teen all day.
Eddie loved how many freckles the tall male had, they were warm chocolate that dotted his face perfectly. And before he knew it, he actually was staring. And before he also knew it, the lanky teen was staring right back at him. Eddie's face and down his neck suddenly felt hot and he whipped his face and eyes away as fast as he could, looking down at his paper nervously. And what he didn't see was the smirk on the tall boy's face. Eddie felt like his stomach was doing backflips, the boy's eyes were so.....so....just unexplainably beautiful to put it short. They were chocolate with specks of dark yellow and gold. Eddie could sink into them forever, but not now cause he could basically feel the boys eyes burning through his head.
The next few days went the same, Eddie would stare and he would look away a flustered mess. And there was the occasional time where the other boy would stare at Richie, which made Eddie smile softly to himself when he left the class to go to lunch.
                               ♡
From what he knew, the boy was Richie Tozier, the trashmouth of Derry. Eddie overheard him talking with one of his friends, Beverly Marsh he thinks, and he kept making jokes about the stupidest things, but why did Eddie like them so much? Maybe jokes like that are just supposed to be funny even to people who usually would call those jokes "unfunny" or "inappropriate". Eddie shrugs out of his thoughts and keeps walking towards the direction of his small home.
Once he gets there he says a small hello to his mom, goes and grabs the things he had already prepacked, goes to the land line in the kitchen and dials Bill's number he had on a sticky note on his fridge. On the third ring, he gets an answer. "Denbrough r-residence, this is B-Bill speaking." Eddie heard from the other line. "Hey Big Bill! It's Eddie. I just needed your address so I could come over, I just got done grabbing my things" Eddie spoke, chuckling softly at the end of things. "Oh yes of course" and then Bill told the boy his address before hanging up, leaving Eddie to leave and go over to his house. Eddie said his goodbye to his mom(and may have been forced to give her a small peck on the cheek before leaving) before loading his passenger seat with his things and heading on his way to Bill's.
Bill's house was fairly a good size, not too small or big, Eddie thought at least. He stepped onto the welcome mat as he knocked onto the door in front of him. He smiled as Bill opened the door, revealing himself and the same outfit he had on earlier that day at school. Eddie could hear his other friends inside the house, but there was one unfamiliar voice he hadn't recognized. Bill moved over to let Eddie in, as Eddie stepped into the lavender smelling house.
