Rushing into the FNG office building, Jamilia headed straight to the elevator. Without a glance at the reception desk, she pressed the button and tapped her foot irritably on the polished marble floor at the slowness of the machine. She was late and above the fact that she hates being late, she also got an e-mail from Mildred the night before with a request from Mr. Chefmand to be in his office at 09:30 sharp.
It was currently 09:26 and as the doors finally open and Jamilia stepped inside, she silently cursed Daxton for being the reason for her lateness. She had over slept and even in her rush to get to work, he still made her change her outfit because he found her lack of decent coverage absolutely atrocious.
When she finally reached her desk after what felt like centuries, she only had time to put down her bag before heading down the hall back to the elevator to her boss's office.
Upon stepping out on the top floor, Sylvia immediately told her to enter Mr. Chefmand's office, without looking up from her computer screen and barely greeting her.
Walking over to the door, Jamilia tried to compose herself and prepare for whatever lied behind the door. As she lifted her hand to knock, the door swung open to reveal Mr. Chefmand peering out with a scowl etched across his face. As he laid his eyes on Jamilia, his scowl immediately faded away to be replaced by a beaming smile.
"Miss. Fiore! I am delighted to see that you are punctual. I was just about to call Mildred to ask if you have arrived yet but you are perfectly on time."
"I apologise for making you worry Mr. Chefmand, I was late this morning and came up here as soon as I arrived."
"Please, come in. We have an important matter to discuss," Mr. Chefmand gestured for Jamilia to enter.
Walking into the spacious office of FNG's CEO, Jamilia couldn't help but feel a slight nervous feeling twisting in her stomach.
Once both were seated, Mr. Chefmand folded his hands on his desk and lent slightly forward, his body language radiating authority.
"I have told you before that the interview with Anthony Voisin was an extremely important collaboration for the company. Yet Mr. Voisin has contacted me and raised some concern about the article."
Jamilia sat twisting her ring nervously under the table while trying to remain calm. Her throat felt dry and when she finally found her voice again she managed to ask, "Did I do something wrong?"
"Not exactly but Mr. Voisin did feel that the questions asked were quite shallow. I didn't have a problem with them but to ensure any future collaboration with AV-Architects you'll do what ever it takes to make Mr. Voisin happy. You WILL do anything he askes."
Becoming slightly alarmed at the request from her boss, Jamilia nervously voiced her concern, "Anything Sir?"
"Anything. I don't care what you have to do as long as it improves our relationship with AV-Architects. You are a very ...capable... woman, I'm sure you will be able to figure something out." Mr. Chefmand said. Jamilia didn't fail to notice the subtle glance to her chest or the hidden meaning in her boss's words.
"Very well, I will do what is needed of me." Jamilia said as she stood up. Having had enough of being treated like an object she decided to end the meeting.
After being escorted to the door she walked over to the elevator, furious at what her boss expected of her in order to make Anthony Voisin happy.
^***^
"He said WHAT?!" Daxton screamed, slamming his fist on the table.
"You heard me, he basically said I need to sleep with the guy as long as it contributes to his company." Jamilia said, bristling with anger but not looking nearly as terrifying as the enraged man standing on the other side of the table.
