niall was away, again. not on tour but for golf, somewhere in dubai for a week. he'd only been gone 3 days and it wasn't too bad but he would send you morning snapchats to say he misses you.
you were just waking up when you got the little notification sound from snapchat signalling niall had sent you another picture.

this picture, he was in the changing rooms, obviously changing into his golfing attire but you couldn't help but notice how tired he looked. he captioned it "long day ahead, petal. tired, can't sleep without ya Xxxx"
your heart was so full with love upon reading the caption only for it to disappear 10 seconds later. you decided you were going to call him that night, so you could catch up and see how he was feeling and how his golf day went.
fast forward to 10 p.m, you had just climbed into bed wearing one of his t-shirts when your phone rang and a smile automatically spread across your face. a facetime call, from niall. you pressed accept and waited for his glowing face to appear on your screen. you were both tired and it was already late.
you told him "i miss you"
his deep, sleepy voice rang through your phone speakers as he said " i miss you too baby, but just remember even though we're so far apart we're still sleeping under the same night sky so look out into the night and at the stars and think of me, okay?"
you didn't need to say anything, just nod in content before you both agreed to stay on the call with each other until you fell asleep and the call would disconnect itself because you couldn't sleep without him and he couldn't sleep without you.
