"Dear Riverdale Reaper, thank you for your service to our terrible town, I will now continue the tradition."

Riverdale, the town that sparked a million and a half opinions, some thought it was virtually possessed by the devil while others still had hope that it could go back to its innocent days. Unfortunately, neither side was right, the actual town itself was innocent enough, despite its southside and northside feud, but the people, they were the ones who gave the town its cruel reputation. It started with The Riverdale reaper, but now, a new threat would emerge.

Our story begins at essentially the hub of Riverdale, Pop's, with Kevin sitting alone, unaware of what was to come. The bright neon lights of Pop's was a way to escape the darkness inside every resident, and the food was to die for, but at the end of the day it was a weak barrier to stop the evil that flooded the town. "Strawberry milkshake, on the house." Pop says sweetly as he strides across to Kevin's booth and hands him the sweet and creamy milkshake, making it slide across the table smoothly. "Thanks Pop, means a lot." Kevin says putting on a slightly fake smile.

Kevin lifts up the large milkshake and gives it a smooth sip. "Why does the world hate me!? Of course I can't come to the Bjou on movie night, and just because I don't have a date? This is so stupid!" All these thoughts danced around Kevin's head as he continued to sip, and as he put the milkshake down slowly. Kevin sighed with annoyance as rested his head on the window, staring off into the darkness ahead. "I just need to be more brave, that has to be it right? I must not be putting myself out there well enough." Kevin thought as he continued to stare, suddenly being shocked out of his daze as his phone buzzes.

"Hey Kev! Can I chat to you for a sec? Just meet me in the forest outside Pop's, this is important.-Betty" reads the message on Kevin's phone. "Well I guess I have nothing else better to do." Kevin mutters as he gets up out of his booth, leaving his virtually full milkshake behind. Kevin slowly walks out of Pop's, and continues to walk until he gets to the entrance of the forest. "Betty? Are you there?" Kevin shouts into the dark abyss of a forest. No response. Just before he turns back to Pop's his phone buzzes again with another message from Betty. "I'm just a little further down, you should be able to see me in a sec.-Betty" "Ugh, fine." Kevin states before walking into the darkness of the forest.

As Kevin slowly walks through the forest, a loud noise suddenly rings through his ears. "What the hell was that noise?!" Kevin shouts into the darkness. The noise was a scream. "Okay, I need to get out of here, fast!" Kevin says, beginning to get progressively more worried. As he begins to walk back, the walk turns into a run, which turns into a sprint, Kevin was determined to get out of there as soon as possible. But suddenly, as an accusation hits him, he freezes in shock. "Wait, what if Betty's in trouble?! I can't leave her like that! I have to go back." Kevin realises. So, he turns back willingly.

As Kevin runs back into the forest, he hears yet another noise, and this time the sound of something dropping. "Oh god." He whispers to himself as he begins to slow down in fear. Then, a bright light begins to shine through the trees, confusing and scaring Kevin. What could this mean? There was only one way to find out. Kevin steadily continues to run towards the light until he sees what the horror of it really was. It was Betty's phone, smashed on the ground, the screen flickering unevenly. "Oh. my. god." Kevin stutters, as a trickle of horror smoothly goes up his spine.

Hours later as the morning sun glides over the sky, the Riverdale high students prepare for the start of their third term. "Hey, when does the term start again?" Cheryl asks Toni brightly as they walk down to get some morning coffee. "Seriously Cheryl? It's the same as every other year! Literally tomorrow." Toni responds, making them both giggle as they arrive at the local coffee shop. "Two mediums please." Cheryl asks sweetly. "Sure thing. Name's Caleb by the way." The man responds. The two girls look at each other, both confused why this man would have to introduce himself in this situation. "Sorry, I know, bad time to introduce myself. i kinda just have terrible social skills. I can't really help it." Caleb says, noticing the girl's confused looks.
