Chapter 3: Her Name Is CamEEla

*Lauren's POV*

~knock knock~

Suddenly Nicole stops attacking my lips and sighs, all frustrated she leaves the room and I really don't know if I should follow her or not. Without hesitating I follow her downstairs and there's a little girl at the door.

"Sure, go ahead I don't mind, you didn't need to ask!", I hear Nicole tell the little girl. The little girl looks a bit familiar but I really can't figure out why.

"Sofia! I told you to be careful with that ball.", says a girly voice approaching the little girl.

"Uhm I should go, I see you at school", I tell Nicole making my way to the door.

"But, ugh fine", I kiss her cheek and I give the little girl a warm smile before looking up to see her. She's perfect, her beauty amazes me every single time I see her. I can't believe she is Nicole's neighbor, why can't she be Normani's? or Vero's? or even Bea's? This is going to be really interesting. I want to see her more often but coming here isn't a good option... What if she thinks me and Nicole are together or something, that would be a bad thing because I want her to know I am available you know just kindly putting it out there hoping for the best. Unfortunately I am never that lucky and probably we won't even be friends and she won't even know I exist.

"Sorry about my sister, it won't happen again", I hear Camila apologizing to Nicole as I make my way to the car. Camila. That's such a beautiful name oh God even her name is perfect. I get in my car and drive back home only to be greeted by my brother Chris, who's playing basketball outside our house.

"Hey Lau"

"Hi Chris"

"Have you heard the news?"

"What news?"

"There's going to be an extracurricular music class at school for juniors and seniors and the best thing is that you can compete with other schools."

"That is so cool!"

"I know right and the best thing is that the mentor is that singer you like...", he tells me winking.

"Wait what? Who!?"

"Guess!"

"Come on, just tell me!"

"Demi Lovato"

"OH MY GOD NO WAY!! How? Why?"

"I heard she is into this project called Young Artists who involves celebrities such as Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in schools all over the country and Demi happened to be picked to our school."

"I can't believe I am going to see one of my idols!"

"You should apply, you would totally get in sis!"

"Maybe... I'll think about it..."

"What is there to think?! I mean it's Demi Lovato!"

"Fine fine, I'm in!"

"Great, I'm gonna go inside I have to study for my math exam", I smile to him in approval and watch him go into the house. Wow this is a really good opportunity to do something interesting, music is what I love. I play the piano since I was 8 years old but singing it's what I really like to do. I go inside and I sit in front of the big classic piano my parents got me for my birthday. Maybe I should do a cover and post it on YouTube, to see if people like my voice? Yeah why not. I think about a song and then prepare my CANON camera, pressing record.
