We Can't Be Together [BaekYeon OneShot]

He knew they could never be together. He accepted the fact and was okay to just watch over her. Seeing her just happy made him happy. He was satisfied. 

Although it's difficult, but letting go is the only way.

Baekhyun. 

Right after he saw her, he fell for her. To him, her voice, beauty and just everything about her was perfect. Instantly, he was hypnotised by her and could no longer escape from "the spell" Taeyeon had casted on him.

Finally, it was Baekhyun's first day as a trainee. He was excited about his future life. Being famous, having fans and being rich. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, finally able to meet her.

He stepped into the SM Building, awaiting his new life. This is it. My life will finally be complete. He opened the door and to his surprise, he saw the gaze of the girl whom he is obsessed with. Taeyeon was walking down the stairs to the first level, talking to her other member. He was mesmerised. She was even more beautiful in real life than those full size posters he owns. She was just perfect.

For the next few months, Baekhyun was training real hard in the the practice room. He was trying to gain the attention from his idol. He hoped so badly that she'll finally take notice of him. Until that day...

"Hyung, I'm going out to buy so bubble tea." Baekhyun said to the other members. It was another tiring day for the trainees. Dancing non-stop for 24 hours. He was finally allowed to take a break which meant that he had to help the other members with their chores aka buying bubble tea.

Baekhyun went to the nearby cafe which they always gone for their weekly bubble tea trip. He was about to enter the cafe when he saw her. His heart stared beating faster than usual, his smile widen. He was about to go to the direction of her laughters when he stood rooted to the ground. She was not alone. She was with someone else. A guy to be exact. 

At that moment, his heart sank so deep that even Adele could not roll in it [kekeke Adele's rolling in the deep :> ] He was beyond heart broken. It hurt him so much it was as if somebody has ripped off his heart and that his heart had stopped beating. Slowly, he felt something wet on his cheeks and he wasn't sure if it was his tears or was it the rain. He looked liked a lost puppy. 

Realising that he couldn't go anywhere due to the rain, Baekhyun went into the cafeteria and ordered 11 bubble tea and apple juice for himself. It was after all,  Taeyeon's favourite drink. He sat at the back of the cafe, watching Taeyeon laugh and enjoy herself with the other guy.

Although his heart ache at the sight of his Taeyeon being so happy with someone else, even more happy than she was ever with him, he was willing to let her go. Just seeing her happy from a far satisfied him. If Taeyeon was happy, then he would be too. Although it's difficult, letting go is the only way.

After the rain stopped, Baekhyun left the cafe, with a broken heart. Little did he know, somebody has been watching him.

Taeyeon.

There he was, standing there at the foot of the cafe. My heart started racing wildly. Although I have always wanted to get to know him more, I know I can't. He is just a trainee and he deserve somebody better. I have to control my feelings for him and not let my actions hurt him. If Lee Soo Man know about it, he would not even be able to make it on to the big stage and will be fired as a trainee. I cannot be so selfish. I'll just have to let him go and watch him from a far. I then told my brother to make me laugh and forget about everything so that someday, I'll forget about him. Although it's difficult, but letting go is the only way.

5 years later...

Baekhyun POV

I looked at her as she walked down the aisle. She's just as beautiful as when I first set my eyes on her. She's happy, her smile almost reaching her eyes. And as if her smile was contagious, I smiled back at her. Finally, I have been waiting so long for this. It is finally the day. The day where both of us will be happy. The day where both of us will begin our new lives. Today was the day. Today is the wedding.

Taeyeon walked down the aisle in the gown which I bought for her when we went shopping during Christmas. The necklace I gave her to congratulate her for their win for their comeback at a music show. And finally, later, she'll be wearing the ring which I had picked for her on her forth finger, the ring finger.

I smiled. She looked perfect. Correction: She is perfect ... to me.

Taeyeon POV

He looked so handsome there wearing his tuxedo. His hair styled, making him dashing. His smile with his pearly white teeth and pink gum showing. His broad shoulders which I could lean and count on. His long fingers which fit perfectly with mine. Those eyes I loved which showed his affection and love for me.

Finally, I'll be happy. He will be happy. We will be happy. The day where both of us will be happy. The day where both of us will begin our new lives. Today was the day. Today is the wedding. Finally, it is here.

I stared at Baekhyun. He was wearing the tuxedo which I had bought for him during Christmas. The tie I gave him when he had his first win on Inkigayo after his debut. And finally, later, wearing the ring which I had picked for him on his forth finger, the ring finger.

I smiled. He looked flawless. Correction: He is flawless ... to me.

Narrator POV

"Do you Kim Taeyeon take him as your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to cherish and most importantly, love; from this day onwards till death do you part."

"Yes, I do."

"Do you Byun Baekhyun take her as your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to cherish and most importantly, love; from this day onwards till death do you part."

"Yes, I do."

THIS WAS IT. Their future was sealed with a kiss with their Other half.
