The school sign read,"Steven Town High school: Welcome,to another fantastic year!"

It was like Kendall and I had read each other's minds, as we smirked at each other. We thought it was going to be a bad year.

We got that right.

As we entered the school gates we saw Tristan and Lucas talking to each other.

When they saw us walking towards them, Lucas checked his watch and jogged towards the newspaper committee building.

"Someone's in a rush.." Miles said as he watched Lucas disappear.

"Yeah." Tristan muttered.

Tristan was a quiet kind of guy, always deep in thought or doing his own thing.

He had spiky black hair and deep blue eyes. He was really tall at 6'1, and he had tan skin.

I stopped staring at Tristan and tried to make conversation,"How was your Su-"

I was cut off when Ruby Thompson jumped onto my back, as if she wanted a piggy back ride.

"Well, hey there." I smiled,"Lucky you didn't fall."

Ruby laughed and crossed her arms.

Ruby was definitely the prettiest girl in our year. She had long curly blonde hair and greyish blue eyes. There was not one visible freckle on her porcelain skin.

Kendall groaned when she saw Ruby.

"Well, I'm off."

Ruby and Kendall were like the sun and the moon.

They just didn't mix.

Ruby was really sweet, probably too sweet for Kendall's liking. And Ruby didn't understand why she didn't like her.

Ruby hugged Avery, Adrien, Tristan and reluctantly, also Miles.

"How was your summer?" She asked, actually interested in what everyone got up to.

"Busy." Avery said.

"Boring." Groaned Miles and Adrien,

Tristan just nodded,

and I shrugged.
