The explosion of colors in the sky, made it hard for me to breath. Fire licked its way all across the clouds, and the deepest oceans fought back right along with it. What a perfect match i thought, fire and water. I reached my hand out of my window, slowly, wishing i could just touch those magnificent shades. Only once, that’s all i would need to be satisfied. With a doubtful sigh, i pulled my hand to my chest. It was evening now, where was Tybren? He always comes and visits me, bringing me neat things, to awe me daily, from his side of the life. I was so jealous of his side. He was allowed to roam free, he knew so much about the world, and i’d never even left this room. It wasn’t fair in the slightest, and i knew it. I wasn’t sure why i was here, or how i’d gotten here. But every night i have what i think is a vision. That’s what Tybren calls it anyway. These pictures form in my head, and a lovely sounding voice echoes through the hollowness of my mind. Telling some sort of story. I haven’t been able to understand it, they are always moving around, like the water in the rivers. Slow and steady, but completely unpredictable. I’m startled by loud stomping, and the sound of breaking glass. As my heartbeat speeds up, so do the footsteps. Walking quickly back to my bed, i reach for a pillow. As if it could keep me safe from whatever i was about to encounter.
