Blood. So much blood. That was all I saw.

"What happened?!" I yell running towards Toni. He did move at all.

That scared me. So much.

"Mom! What if I'm pregnant with his child?!" I yell without thinking.

"What?" My mother says slowly walking towards me. I just wink at her and then bite my lip in shock of what I said as well.

"Get out." My mother says with a stern tone pointing the way home. I just shake my head in response.

"Get out!" She yells now making me making me clench my fists but then quickly cover my face with my hands in tears.

Could life be any worse? Toni could be dead. And I would be left here with only our memories, when I want him, and only him.

That's when I walk away from my family with disgust.

Worst family ever.

I had grabbed everything I needed. Clothes, essentials, make up, and my phone in case I'm lost.

"Roselyn!" I quickly shut my suitcase and head towards the window. Welp, this is my life now. Running. And running. And possibly never stopping.

I could feel the tears begin to fall until someone's hand was on my shoulder holding me back.

"Don't do this." I look back to only see Toni. I sigh with relief and hold him in my arms. He was tense at first but then he gave in.

"Don't leave us Roselyn." He whispers. I just look down unhappy with the outcome of my life. I grab his face in the palm of my hand as tears began to fall. I muttered "I love you." And then have him the ring. He was crying as well.

I closed his hand with the ring in it as he stood there defeated.

"Bye."

I head out the window jumping hoping I'm not hurt.

I brush off the dirt from the fall and begin to walk. I keep walking and walking. For what seemed life forever.

It's been a week. And I live on the streets. The cold concrete never feels good. I'm laughed at, and I'm even spit at every now and then.

All of my family members and friends have called me on my phone but I continue to not answer. To be honest, I have no clue where I am.

But that's when suddenly as I sit on the sidewalk cold a hand was held out to me. This was a man. For a fact. And he had a black jacket on with black glasses as well. And gorgeous brown hair.

"Let me help you." He pleads holding out his hand. Weirdly, I felt like I could trust this man. I felt like I could truly trust this man.

I took his hand with mine and he smiled taking off his sunglasses only to reveal beautiful green eyes. He had a scar on his left cheek. But, it looked manly. He even looked around my age. Maybe a tad younger. But there wasn't much of a difference.

"Let me buy you some food. Or something." The man pleads. Honestly, I do not want to be pitied. If anything, I want to get back on my feet on my own. But in response I nodded because we all knew I needed real food. Food I could trust.

We walked down the street still holding hands until we stopped at a diner called, "Bluets".

I've been here once. It's a place where you can do dancing duets while eating in the side. You grab a partner and begin to dance. And all eyes would be on you.

My brother and I did it as younger kids. It was truly a ton of fun.

"We don't have to dance. I just had connections with the owners. And, they have good food as well." The man pleads. But curiosity always takes over me making me say, "Who are you?" I plead.

"Tonivin Romé." I just nod as we both walk into the restaurant.

I gasp at the building. The floors were a light wood making each step louder than the rest. And the people were happily surrounding the dancers. I smile at the building. Tonivin leads me towards a table as I mouth thank you. He walks towards the kitchen and quickly orders food.

Why am I here with this man? Honestly. He could poison me. You never know!

My palms begin to sweat with fear. I look everywhere but at the kitchen door. I can't let him know I'm scared. Extremely scared.

"Here you go." Tonivin says putting the plate down. He has the exact same meal. He sits in the chair across from me and smiles.

"I know you probably are thinking I'm poisoning you or something. But, I believe that is utterly dumb shit." He cusses. Mmkay.

"And ma'am, I truly will not judge you if you do not eat." He adds making me comforted.

Oddly I take a fry from my plate. I had a cheese burger with fries. Good foods.

"I've never eaten burgers and fries before." I can tell. Your a tad model body.

"Really? What do you do all day? Work." I question.

"Possibly." He dips his fry in ketchup as he continues to eat his food quickly in joy.

"But, let me get to know you. And I will add you have very pretty eyes." He pleads making my heart warm. I eat another fry and smile.

It was good.

"I'm just another poor girl. I ran away from my horrible family. End of story." His smile fades as he looks up at me. He just shakes his head looking down.

"I know how you feel. But, you need to know that family really does matter. And you really notice that when there gone." He says looking sad. He begins to eat his food once again as I just sit there with the man.

Oddly, I'm having a good time.

But, as quickly as the snap of the fingers two officers came into the restaurant looking directly at me.

❤️❤️❤️
