The former and actual Robins were wary of her, especially Jason. They didn't know where she came from, what she was thinking. They'd just know that Batman sent her to deliver them a USB key holding important files from a criminal worldwide organization under the lead of a person called "Mother". They only knew her name. Although none would trust her fully, they needed her, whether was it for information and explanation or to fight. Dick had seen her in action rather closely and experienced to be beat up by a young girl.
Cassandra was to the bedside of the recovering Harper Row, the girl she saved from her father, David Cain. She had come in time to prevent her from being killed, but she was injured. She kept a close watch on her. The girl sat nearby and reported her attention on the Wayne sons. She knew very little of them, but she could understand them clearly, mainly through their body language. Cassandra watched them, observed their gesture. Body language expressed more than a thousand words to her. She could feel, understand them. It was difficult to explain.
Jason stood apart from Dick and Tim few minutes later after some debating of their next move. He was watching her through his helmet, arms crossed and leaning against the rock wall of the cave. She glanced to him with an unreadable expression. They stared to each other. Cassandra could see that she hadn't gain much trust from him. They were trying to read each other. To her, Jason was almost a special case. When they fought, althought she held back a lot, Cassandra had trouble predicting his moves. Jason understood that she was some sort of body reader and even if he hadn't known her greatest strength, he still was unpredictable.
The stare wasn't too intense although many would find it rather uncomfortable. But none of them flinched. It wasn't a stare contest though. They were evaluating each other silently. Jason was the first to speak up, seemingly pissed.
Jason: "The hell you're looking at?"
Cassandra did not move nor showed any bodily response. This short moment between them ended when Dick and Tim needed him to talk about something. He shot a last glance to her, so did she as well to him before they both parted in different directions: him to them and her to Harper.
To be continued...
