Salem's POV

I land onto my bed, planting my face first, feeling the soft cottons rub on my face. My body relaxes at its heavenly softness, taking my time at this peaceful moment, even if it's just a tiny moment where at least I could feel the light and warmth that comforts me through every problems that I face.

I've only had this bedroom as my safe zone, since everyday I'm always being beaten up by my family. It has always been like that since... I was born with this non-villainish appearance.

'If I were born in a family of heroes......I wonder what my life be like?' I thought as I dug my head out through the pillows since I'm already starting to suffocate.

I imagined some thoughts of being a hero, thinking that it would be probably worse too, since I would have to bother risking my life just to save others.

"I say both is worse, huh?" I gave out a huge sigh.

I went off my bed and grabbed an aid kit from my closet, so that I could disinfect the wounds I've got from my family's beating. 'He sure was harsh to me than the last time.' I thought as I put some medicine on the injury I've got earlier, then wrapped it with bandages, letting my arm rest on my pillow as I lay down on my bed again, making myself comfortable.

A flash of white light suddenly shone right before me which made me irritatedly turn towards the window.

Time suddenly stopped when I saw the sky, I felt my body paralyzed, my eyes were drawn towards the sparkling stars, brainwashing my mind with its beauty. My irritated expression disappeared as I looked into sky, feeling cleansed and refreshed, making me feel more light than before.

At that moment, for the first time in my life, I find it so.... beautiful....I felt a strange feeling as I gazed longly through night sky, seeing the sparkles shine all over the place, I could feel it dragging me through a carouselle of hope and sadness. It's as if it's a beauty that never ends. I've never felt this kind of feeling in my whole life.

'Since when did the sky looked so beautiful?' I thought as I could feel the sparkles. Unconsciously, I reached my hand to the sky, as if I'm wanting..... freedom?

"Master Salem, it is now time for dinner."

A voice interrupts my thoughts which made my face immediately turn into a scowl. I irritatedly turned towards the owner of the voice to see a black butler standing in front of me with a creepy smile on his face. Everyone here is creepy, but this guy's more creepier.

"Bastard. You just ruined the after glow." I growled at his rudeness, knowing that he even didn't knock.
"Just bring the food here. Joining those maggots for dinner might ruin my appetite." I gave out a disgusted expression.

"As you wish." the butler's smile became creepier, enjoying the look at the face I'm making. This made me annoyed as fuck and want to beat the crap out of this guy, but since my body's not in the mood for that, I'll let it slide this time.

He then bows his head and leaves the room. Once I cannot already hear his footsteps, I once more turned my gaze at the sky and confusely asked to myself, "Am I not free?" I thought dramatically, going back to the flow.

A few moments later, a wind strongly passes by, causing a lot of fallen green leaves to be blown through the air and scatter all over the place. The strong fresh air could be felt here inside the room.
My own question remained unanswered, it made my head all jumbled up just looking for the answer.

I looked at my reflection, right the mirror beside me. This time, I am looking at my true appearance, blonde hair and blue eyes. Except for my left one, it's still red.
