Chapter Two

Chapter Two

        “Reia, wake up.”

        “What...?” I muttered blinking my eyes open.

        Case was standing in the door way with and amused grin on his face.

        “You look adorable when you sleep.” Skylar said.

        I growled at sat up.

        “I want you to come downstairs and talk to Bella's mate.” Case said.

        “Why?”

        “I think you need to.”

        I groaned then rolled to the edge of the bed and stood up. Sky followed me and Case led us down the hall.

        “I don't even know his name.”

        “It's Seth.” Case answered.

        I stopped walking and Skylar plowed into my back.

        “What are you doing?” he asked.

        Case stopped walking and turned around to face me.

        “Are you alright?”

        I didn't answer, I walked past him and hurried down the stairs. Sky caught up with me and walked behind me. Seth was standing in the living room talking to Linda and got quiet when I came in.

        “What's your last name?” I demanded.

        He blinked at me and glanced over at Bella, she shrugged and turned her gaze back to me.

        “My last name is Woods.”

        I swallowed and stared at him. Could he be my brother? Surely it wasn't just a coincidence.

        “Do I know you?” he asked.

        “You should.”

        He shook his head and looked me up and down.

        “Her full name is Reia Marie Woods.” Sky said.

        I seen Seth's eyes widen a bit and I growled when he didn't say anything.

        “My parents were Ben and Teresa Woods. They were killed six years ago by Dark Pack's beta, they were the alphas. My brother Erin was killed on the same day as my parents. I was separated from my brother who's name was Seth Woods. Do you know me now?” I said.

        Sky put his hands on my shoulders and gave them a light squeeze.

        “Easy.” he whispered into my ear.

        Seth stared at me with shock written all over his face. I locked eyes

with him and waited for his response.

        “Reia...your alive?”

        I smiled and bounded over to him and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me a squeezed me tightly, I whined and buried my face in his chest. I was having trouble realizing he was here, for six years I had believed he was dead.

        “Would it be wrong to say your all grown up?” he asked.

        I laughed and shook my head, then pulled back from him.

        “Me? Have you looked at yourself in a mirror lately?”

        “Actually no I haven't.” he said with a laugh.

        I backed up and Skylar came over and stood behind me.

        “This is Skylar. And before you ask no we are not mates.” I said.

        “Yet.” Case added.

        I growled and gave him a glare. He held up his hands in defense and left the room.

        “Do you want to go for a run? I think there's some things we need to talk about.” Seth said.

 

        I nodded and headed for the door.

        “Sky, be sure to keep Bella company.” I said as I opened the door.

        “Yes ma'am”

        “So I'm guessing Case and Linda kind of adopted you?” Seth asked.

        “Yeah. Case saved me and brought me here.”

        “Saved you?”

        “After we got separated I ran towards an opening place in the trees. I figured it was a field but it turned out to be a cliff above a river. A shifter attacked me there and I fell over the edge. The water was terribly cold, luckily there were a few chunks of ice floating in it and I managed to climb onto one. It ended up flipping over on me and I almost drowned. Case happened to be there and he jumped into the river and pulled me out. When I woke up I was at their house, apparently I had been out for two days. What happened to you?”

        “Well, once I realized you were gone I turned back looking for you and was ambushed. I managed to get away and ran for my life. I ended up falling down a steep ravine and banged my head around as I fell. I ended up getting knocked out when I hit the bottom. When I woke up I was in a small cave and Bella was there. Her parents had been killed by rouges and she had been living on her own for two years. She came across me and found that I was still alive and brought me to where she was temporarily staying. We've been together ever since.”

        “And now your going to be a father.” I said

        He grinned broadly and leaned back against the tree he was sitting by.

        “You nervous?”

        “Yes.”

        I laughed and smiled at him.

        “You'll be fine.”

        “I hope so. So how old are you anyway? Sixteen?”

        “Seventeen,” I corrected. “You're twenty-two right?”

        “Yeah. So what' going on between you and that Skylar kid?”

        “You just had to ask that didn't you?”

        He shrugged and looked at me waiting for me to continue.

        “To be honest I really don't know. Case claims that we will be mates some day.”

        “How long have you known him?”

        “Since the first week I came to Starlight Pack. So six years.”

        “Well if he does ask you what will you say?”

        “What is this? Twenty questions? I guess I'll say yes if he asks me.”

        “I better get to know him then.” Seth said with a mischievous smile.

        “You're so weird. Just don't scare him off.”

        “I'll try not to. But no promises.”
