14. Hiding The Truth

"Nandini , is everything fine ? What happened?" Manik asked while knocking the door of washroom. He got worried when suddenly Nandini ran from there.

Inside Nandini was trying to digest the truth that abhi was Alive. She was beyond shocked, if she wouldn't have met Manik , she would be the happiest soul after seeing Abhi alive but the things were different, she had married to Manik, she gave herself to Manik now.

After listening Manik's voice , she took a long breath and wiping her face with towel , she walked out.

"Is everything okay Nandini, you are not looking fine ? "Manik asked worriedly putting hand on her shoulder. His concern were clearly showing that how much he loved her.

"Manik , it is just a minor headache , nothing else , i am fine"she said while smiling faintly.

"Nandini , you never take care of yourself, you always do work and work and now you will listen to me and take rest"he said while making her sit on the bed and she was just smiling seeing his concern for her.

"Okay , Doc. Manik Malhotra , i will take rest whole day and you stop going hospital and whole day remain at home and start taking care of your naughty children"she laughed saying this and Manik gave her angry looks.

" bhabhi, are you fine ? You just left from there without saying anything" then they both heard Mukti's voice. She walked toward them.

"Mukti , it was just a minor headache , don't"before she could complete her sentence , she paused again after seeing Abhi entering inside the room. The memories of past started coming in her mind.

"Manik bhai , i think you are not taking proper care of my bhabhi " Mukti said looking at Manik in fun tone and Manik showed his eyes to her. Nandini was not even listening her words , she was lost in her thoughts.

"Bhabhi , meet my love of life , Sameer"Nandini got confused that why Mukti was introducing Abhi as Sameer.

"Hello Nandini Bhabhi" Abhi said forwarding her hand toward her and she was just staring at him confusingly.

"Abhi"Nandini murmured while shaking her hands with him and Abhi was also staring at her as like he was trying to remember something.

"Bhabhi , do we know each other as i am feeling like i know you"Nandini heart started beating fastly after listening his words. Now she was sure , the person who was standing in front of her , he was Abhi.

"No , I don't know you"she said taking her hand back immediately.

"Actually bhai , bhabhi.. Sameer had lost his memory a year back, 6 month ago i met him in new york in a hospital where his treatment was going on , that time he was in coma from 6 month and the day i went to hospital, he came out from Coma , He just only remembered that he is from India " Listening Mukti's words , Nandini's all confusion got cleared. She understood immediately that Abhi lost his memory in plane crash.

", i am a doctor Sameer and i can help you in your case "Manik said looking Abhi and he just smiled and Nandini was sitting silently and trying to believe that she wasn't dreaming.

"Now i think , we should go and let Bhabhi take some rest"Saying this Mukti walked out holding Abhi's hand and Nandini took breath of relief when they left.

"Nandini , lay down and take some rest for now and i will take care of Pari and Prince okay"Manik asked her to lay down and Nandini nodding her laid down and Manik covered her with blanket and he left after kissing her forehead.

"Oh god , Abhi is alive , i can't even hug him and tell him that how much i missed him as now i love Manik and i don't want to hurt him in any manner by telling him the truth that Sameer is Abhi , i am sure he will ask me to choose Abhi as he is my first love but the truth is that Now i love Manik more and i am scared to lose him and i never want that Abhi should get his memory back as if he will get his memory back , i have to choose between Manik and him and i really don't want to hurt anyone of them , now i should avoid Abhi and i have to do something so that he will never get his memory back , i know i am selfish because now i love Manik and i don't want to lose him and even I don't want to hurt Abhi and it will be good for everyone , for me , for Manik , for Abhi and for Mukti that he will not get his memory back and i will do something soon" she was becoming selfish in love as she didn't want to lose Manik because she loved him selflessly.

For half an hour she kept thinking about all this and she was shocked also that how could Abhi was alive and she was thinking what she can do so that Abhi will never get back his memory .

On the other hand Manik was handling their children. He was unaware that Nandini's first love was alive and he was in his house. Prince was playing with Manik's locket while lying in his arms and Manik was playing cards with Pari. Then only Nandini came there and she smiled seeing the scene in front of her eyes. She forgot all her worries seeing the scene , in her eyes Manik was a perfect man , he was a perfect father , a perfect doctor , a perfect life partner , she never wanted to lose this perfect Man.

"Mumma , come here , play with us"Pari called Nandini seeing her standing on the door and Manik gave her smile.

"How are you feeling now ?"he asked when Nandini sat with them and Prince started crying seeing Nandini as he wanted to go in his mumma's arms.

"I am perfectly fine now , Manik" saying this , she took prince In her arms and he became quite.

"Pari , i have to feed Prince , you play with daddy , i will join you both after feeding him " She said while getting up , carrying Prince in her Arms and Pari nodded her head. After that she walked out from the Room.

At night , everyone were eating dinner , sitting in dining Room. Nandini noticed that Abhi was staring at her. "Abhi , i am sorry , i have to hide the truth from you as I don't want to hurt anyone here and i know seeing me , you are feeling like you have seen me before also , I have to do something so that you will never get your memory back " Nandini was lost in her thoughts.

"Manik , i am going , i have to feed Prince"Nandini got up immediately and left from there giving excuse as she wanted to avoid Abhi as he was constantly staring at her.

Now it was night time , Manik had slept and Nandini was still awake because of Prince as he was not in mood to sleep and he was continuously crying. Nandini walked out from the room taking Prince in her arms as she didn't want to disturb Manik's sleep. She was roaming in corridor while singing lullaby. She took a breath of relief when finally he slept.

"Nandini Bhabhi , can i take your 1 minute?"when she was about to walk inside the room , she stopped on the door after listening Abhi's voice. Turning toward him , she nodded her head.

"Actually, i am feeling like , i know you , in 6 month, i never felt like this before , i am feeling like there is some connection between us , some blurry scenes are coming in my mind , Do you know me ? Please help me , Living like this , not knowing that who you are , this feeling is killing me , may be still someone is waiting for me today also"Nandini became worried after listening his words. She was feeling sorry for him that she couldn't help him.

"No , I have never seen you before Sameer" she immediately walked inside the room saying this , the more time she was spending with him , the more she was feeling helpless as she couldn't help him.

"I am so sorry Abhi , i am so sorry "she said after closing the door and a tear ran down from her eyes. Today she loved Manik more but she was feeling guilty because she was not able to help him as there was time when she was in love with him and it is not easy to forget your first love and it is more difficult to see them in Pain.
